The Radisson SAS Bay Point Resort is ideally situated in St. Georges Bay on the northern coast of the island, directly overlooking the blue waters of the Mediterranean, with the views stretching from the Grand Harbour to the sister island of Gozo. Although St. Georges is a quiet part of the island, the bustling shopping centre and nightlife of St. Julians is only 1 km away.

St. Julians is only 1 kilometre away. Valletta, the capital is only 20 minutes from the hotel by taxi. Also it takes about 30 minutes to get to the hotel from the airport.

Food and beverage

The hotels Kon Tiki restaurant enjoys a well-earned reputation for fine food.
A full buffet breakfast is served here, and in the evenings a buffet style table-dhôte menu is available.
Le Petillant à la carte restaurant is a more intimate dining area, specialising in classic flambéd dishes prepared at your table.
Situated just off the lobby is Le Bistro, serving light dishes and snacks 24 hours a day.
There are also several bars within the Resort.
The Bridge Cocktail bar is open all day, while the Kon Tiki bar is open for pre and post dinner drinks.
Le Bistro bar is open 24 hours a day. The Lobby bar is also available. In addition, in the summer months there is a swim-up bar in the Resorts main pool.

Driving Directions

On leaving the airport, take the main road to Marsa, which leads to Valletta. The city centre and airport are both clearly signposted.

Car Parking

There are spaces for 650 cars in the car park, which is linked to the main terminal by a walkway. Car hire companies have a separate car park for the collection and return of hired vehicles.

Car Hire

Car hire companies are located in the Welcomers’ Hall and include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National, Sixt and Thrifty.

Public Transport

Road: Taxi: There is a fixed-fare taxi service to all areas of Malta. A taxi booth is located in the Welcomers’ Hall, where pre-paid tickets can be purchased. Bus: Bus no.8 departs regularly to/from Valletta and leaves from a bus stop outside the check-in hall.

Information and Help Desks

Malta Tourist Information (tel: 2369 6073/4) is located in the Welcomers’ Hall and is open 24 hours a day. Additional information is available online (website: www.visitmalta.com). The Customer Services Centre (tel: 2124 9600) is located inside the check-in hall and is also open around the clock.

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: There are two banks and bureaux de change, as well as a post office and a telecommunications centre. Eating and drinking: There are numerous restaurants and cafeterias throughout the airport, including a drive thru. Shopping: There are several shops at the airport, including tax-free. Luggage: A left-luggage service is available. Other facilities: There is a chapel onsite.

Conference and Business Facilities

There are three executive lounges at the airport: the Gerolamo Cassar executive lounge, located in Arrivals; the La Valette executive lounge, situated in the Departures lounge, immediately after security control; and the Ewropa Lounge (operated by Air Malta) in the Departures lounge. Internet access is available to lounge users.

Disabled Facilities

The terminal has wheelchair-accessible toilets, ramps and low-level payphones. Reserved parking spaces are available in the car park. Wheelchairs are available on request from the Customer Services Centre (tel: 2124 9600).

Airport Hotels

There are no on-site hotels but the necessary information and bookings for all of Malta’s hotels can be obtained from the Tourist Information Office inside the Welcomers’ Hall. Hotels close to the airport include the Golden Tulip Vivaldi Hotel (tel: 2137 8100) and the Crowne Plaza (tel: 2134 3400), located 10km (6 miles) from the airport, and the Hilton Malta (tel: 2138 3383), 14km (9 miles) from the airport.
