Terminals 1 and 2 are connected by the Millennium Link walkway.
The airport is situated on the A45 Coventry road, close to junction 6 of the M42. There are direct connections from the M1, M5, M6 and M40. The new M6 toll road provides a fast alternative to the M6. The airport is signposted from the motorways.

Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and National are represented in the Millennium Link.
Rail: The free Skyrail service links the airport directly to Birmingham International Train Station. A network of regional and intercity rail services depart from there, including a Virgin service to London Euston. Coach: National Express (tel: (0)8705 808 080; website: www.nationalexpress.com) operates long-distance coach services, linking the airport to Birmingham and a number of other cities, and provides inter-airport Flightlink (tel: (0)8705 757 747) coaches linking the airport with London Luton, London Gatwick and London Stansted airports.
The airport information desk (tel: (0)870 733 5511) is situated in the Millennium Link; there is also an information point located in the Departures Lounge. British Airways operates a customer service desks (tel: (0)121 767 7502/3) in Terminal 2. The Visitor Centre in Terminal 1 provides a reservation and information service.
Money and communications: Bureaux de change and ATMs are available in both terminals. Postal facilities are available in Terminal 1. Eating and drinking: There is an extensive range of cafés, restaurants, bars and fast-food outlets both airside and landside. Shopping: There are several retail shops at the airport. Luggage: A left-luggage facility (tel: (0)121 767 7987) is available on the first floor in Terminal 1. Other facilities: There are 24-hour medical centres in both terminals and a prayer room.
Business booths are available in the Terminal 1 Departures lounge; free work stations are provided, with credit-card operated telephone, e-mail, modem and fax facilities. Air Space (tel: (0)121 767 8063) provides meeting rooms accommodating between two and 40 people. Overhead projectors and flipcharts are available.
Adapted toilets and lifts are provided. Wheelchairs are available on request. Help with baggage and check-in is available by contacting the airport information desk (tel: (0) 870 733 5511) prior to arrival. Wheelchair and other assistance after check-in must be arranged through the individual airlines. A Minicom system (tel: (0)121 767 8084) is installed at the Terminal 1 airport information desk, and there is an induction loop system.
The Crowne Plaza NEC (tel: (0)121 781 4000), Hilton Birmingham Metropole (tel: (0)121 780 4242), Holiday Inn Express NEC (tel: (0)121 782 3222) and Novotel Birmingham International Airport (tel: (0)121 782 4111) are all located near the airport. A free shuttle runs between the terminals, the docks and various car parks.
The airport is 15 minutes from the Venice-Mestre motorway exit and is located off the SS14 airport road towards Trieste, which is well signposted for the airport.
There are multi-storey car parks (Park 1 and 4) in front of the old terminal and an open-air car park (Park 2) at the back of the multi-storey complex (tel: (0)4 1541 5913). There are also short-term car parks (Park 5 and 6) in front of the new terminal and a parking lane for pick-up and drop-off . There is a long-stay car park (Park 7), some distance from the new terminal; a shuttle service is available.
Auto Europa, Avis, Easy Car, Europcar, Hertz, Maggiore, Qui Car, Sixt, Targarent, Thrifty and Tirreno Prestige are all represented in the Arrivals area.
Water: Alilaguna (tel: (0) 4 1541 5180) runs waterboat service between the airport docks and Venice, Murano and Lido. Water taxis (tel: (0)4 1541 5084) and ATVO motorboats (tel: (0)4 1541 6555) also run from the airport docks to Venice; a 24-hour motorboat service is available from Consorzio Motoscafi Venezia (tel: (0)4 1522 2303). Road: Taxi: Traditional taxis are available from Radiotaxi (tel: (0)4 193 6222). Taxis to Padua and shared taxis area also available. Bus: There are scheduled bus services to Padua, Mestre and Venice. Venice-Mestre railway station is connected to the airport by the ATVO Fly Bus and the ACTV bus no.15. A Venice Tourist Information Office is located in the Arrivals area (tel: (0)4 1541 5887). An airport information desk is situated in the Departures area (tel: (0)4 1260 9260). Recorded information is also available for Arrivals (tel: (0)4 1260 9240) and Departures (tel: (0)4 1260 9250).

Eating and drinking: There are bars, cafés and restaurants at the airport. Food outlets include traditional Italian espresso bars and a self-service restaurant. Shopping: Shops are located in the Extra Schengen Departures Hall and include duty-free. Luggage: Left-luggage facilities, a lost property office and a luggage wrapping service are available. Other facilities: There is a first aid service, a prayer room and a spa.
The Travelex Business Centre (tel: (0)4 1269 8191) has meeting rooms and conference halls, as well as individual workstations, secretarial support and translation services, audiovisual equipment and mobile phone hire. A meeting room in the VIP Lounge can be hired (tel: (0)4 1260 6285); facilities in the lounge include telephone, TV, video, slide projector, fax machine and a bar.
Wheelchairs are available for disabled travellers and passengers requiring special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel. The terminal is equipped with ramps and lifts that provide access to all areas.
