The largest of the Tuscan group of islands, Elba boasts a mountainous landscape and has many picturesque rocky coves and some sandy bays. Watersports are available, including scuba diving, snorkelling, windsurfing and sailing. There are a few restaurants and pizzerias in the villages as well as a couple of nightspots, however most dining out and evening entertainment is hotel based.
