Siracusa is 82kms from Catania airport, 1.15 hours and 6 kms from Siracusa town. There are beautiful sandy beaches within 15 minutes drive. Wild-life sea reserve close by plus many other ancient towns for short day excursions.

The resort is by the sea of Terrauzza (wildlife reserve) and not far from the beautiful Arenella beach. The ancient town of Siracusa is only 6kms away and the baroque towns of the south-east such as Noto, Modica and Ragusa are all within a short driving distance for day excursions.

Accommodation description

The splendid 4* hotel Principe di Fitalia is set in the south east of Sicily, 5 kilometres from the ancient town of Siracusa Ortigia and only a fifteen minute drive from the beautiful sandy beaches of Arenella. The hotel has been tastefully restored, from a 19th century villa, in an authentic Sicilian style with bright and cheerful colours, an 18th century style hall where you will enjoy a welcome cocktail and a Sicilian style lounge bar where you can savour their famous Granitas.

There are twenty-one comfortable bedrooms, most with their own private terrace or balcony, someoverlooking the pool and some with pretty views of the countryside. The hotel has a lovely garden with a curved shaped swimming pool with jacuzzi bath.

There is also a wonderful second-floor terrace where guests can enjoy sweeping views of the countryside and the near-by coastline. The hotel also has a restaurant where guests can enjoy fresh fish and meat dishes and authentic Sicilian cooking. The Principe di Fitalia is an excellent base for families (shallow end in pool for kids and separate play area) and couples (lovely suite with private terrace and hydro-massage bath) who would like to have relaxing days by the pool or explore the enchanting and ancient towns of the south-east of Sicily. Overall it is an ideal base for families (excellent sandy beaches nearby) and couples (relaxing ambience with romantic junior suite or suite with hydro-massage bath).
