Porta Palazzo in Turin is Europe's biggest open-air market, taking place from Monday to Saturday in the Piazza della Repubblica.
Originally set up in 1825 in Piazza Palazzo di Città, hence its name, Porta Palazzo is today a sprawling jumble of stalls taking up the entire piazza and the streets surrounding it. Products for sale include pretty much everything, from clothes to local gastronomic specialities and bargain houseware items.
