Sauze d'Oulx Holidays

Sauze D'Oulx is situated on a sunny, west-facing plateau close to the French border. Parts of this charming old town date back to the fifteenth century, and there are some historic areas with quaint cobbled streets. The resort is famed for its cheerful Italian informality and its good-natured holiday pub culture. This has ensured its place in the hearts of many loyal skiers, Italians and British alike.

Sauze is a key component of the Milky Way group of resorts, or the “Via Lattea” as it is known. This is an extensive network of 92 lifts, linking five principal Italian resorts with the French resort of Montgenèvre. Some rate this as one of the great European ski circuits, with 400km of pistes ideally suited to intermediates and above. Along with neighbour Sestriere, Sauze is hosting many of the forthcoming 2006 Winter Olympics next February. This should provide high-level spectacle for supporters and skiers alike.
