- National Museum of Cinema
The 1941-founded National Museum of Cinema (Museo Nazionale del Cinema, MNC) was relocated in 2000 inside the 167-metre Mole Antonelliana, the bizarre skyscraper-like building representing the city of Turin. A must-see for any cinema-goer, it offers a thematic journey through the history of moving pictures.
- The Castello and Borgo Medievale
The Castello and Borgo Medievale, a mock medieval castle and village, were built in 1884 as part of the first Italian General Exhibition. They rest among the greenery of the famous Valentino Park, mirrored in the River Po.
- DocksDora
The DocksDora, a former industrial plant along the railway line to Milan, hosts a cluster of clubs and art venues and is a popular centre of Turin's nightlife. Among the clubs found here are the Dock's Home, Café Blue, Bar Code and "alternative" club Magazzini Reddocks. The loudspeakers are most likely to be thundering with house music, but occasionally the DJs opt for some softer indie and R&B.
- Palazzo Reale
Palazzo Reale is an impressive 17th-century building, home to some of the best architectural works in Turin, including a chapel by Guarino Guarini and the ceiling designed by Michelangelo Morello and carved by Bartolomeo and Giovan Battista Botto.
- Parco del Valentino
Valentino is one of Turin's most charming parks, stretching over 40 hectares along the left bank of the River Po. It features endless green spaces, including Italy's second-largest botanical garden, a medieval village, the Società Promotrice di Belle Arti exhibiting building and an outstanding 18th-century castle.
