Passo Tonale - HIGH, SNOW-SURE AND GREAT VALUE

Italy’s fastest growing ski area is dramatically located in a wide, sunny valley on the border of Trento and Lombardy. The ski area has been extended with the development of new pistes and lifts around Ponte di Legno and Temu. New for winter 2006/7, a two-stage cable car linking Passo Tonale and Ponte di Legno will open up a continuous 11km descent from Presena to Ponte di Legno. Skiing is possible on both sides of the valley on mainly north- and south-facing pistes above the tree line. The village itself is compact with hotels and numerous bars, cafés and good value restaurants.

Resort attractions: Tobogganing, cross-country skiing, ski-doos, horse riding, ice skating; shops, good value mountain restaurants, pizzerias, restaurants offering both local and international cuisine, several bars, disco. Swimming in nearby Ponte di Legno (€2 approx with free shuttle bus on presentation of ski pass).

3* Hotel Sciatori - 7 nights - half board

The Sciatori is a small, family run hotel, just 250m from the resort centre, teh lifts and the ski school.

Transfers: are included from Verona Brescia airport. 2 hours 45 mins - 131 kms.

Single supplement: No single rooms available. Minimum occupancy 2 persons.

Infants: £32. No flight seat or baggage allowance. Pay locally for cots and any food consumed.

Additional information

Baggage allowance: 15 kgs. hold luggage + 5 kgs hand luggage.

Carriage of skis: Ski carriage must be pre-booked and there is a charge of £15 per pair return. If for any reason your skis cannot be carried, tour operator undertake to transport your skis on the next available flight and deliver them to your accommodation.

To book ski carriage enter the number of pairs you will be taking under "Optional Extras" at the end of your online booking. The charge will be added to your invoice.

Ticketing information: Holidays are booked from an allocation held by with the tour operator. You are making a confirmed reservation - bookings are not subject to availability. Tour operator will send you their confirmation/ invoice by second class post with receipt of your booking. The tour operator will not telephone you unless you are travelling within the next 10 days. Tickets will be dispatched 14 days before departure.

Special requests. If you have any special requests (vegetarian meals etc) please enter them under Special Requirements when you make your online booking. Special requests will be noted but cannot be guaranteed.
