Description
Venue: Micca Club When: Daily; Thu, Fri, Sat, and Sun only
Once a wine cellar, Micca Club is a new and unusual addition to Rome's nightlife, offering a mixed programme of DJs, radio transmissions, visual arts and even a Sunday market.
Branded as a "cathedral" of music, thanks to its labyrinthine structure, defined by a spectacular spiral staircase, elegant columns and magnificent vaults, Micca is open four nights a week and has a stage for live concerts, a dance floor, three bars, a lounge area and an art gallery.
Jazzolution is Thursday's theme, featuring DJ Roby Coella spinning jazz, funk and soul tunes. On Fridays Exotique FM Live brings exotic melodies to the dance floor, chosen by guests like Gerardo Frisina and Filippo Clay. Saturday's Jaguard's Night welcomes former Supper Club DJ and art director Alessandro Casella and concerts by international musicians, while Burlesque Show performances, of the calibre of those in London and Paris, feature once a month.
Every Sunday from 6pm the venue hosts a market, showcasing a variety of goods from vintage clothes to design objects along with music and top tips from MTV's Fashion House presenter, Jennifer.
