Description

Venue: Parco Villa Borghese    When: Daily

Created by Cardinal Scipione Borghese in the 1600s and bought by the city of Rome at the turn of the century, Villa Borghese is one of Europe's most elegant parks.

Featuring incredible views over the Eternal city and a vast green space for relaxation and outdoor activities, the park is a favourite among families and nature lovers. It's a great place to sunbathe on a hot summer day, rent bikes, take the kids to the zoo, sip coffee in one of the casual cafes or simply sit back and enjoy a good book.

It is also home to historic buildings, museums and galleries, hosting a large number of important sculptures, which make up the Cardinal Scipione Borghese's art collection. Don't miss the Galleria Borghese, which displays a mixture of ancient Roman items and 17th-century pieces.
