What you said
Excellent hotel & staff. Clean & newly decorated room although a little small. Clean towels every day etc. Nice idea of biscuits for guests early evening on return to hotel, sweets in entrance lounge. Well located for bus/terminus & sightseeing. Would recommend.

The hotel was just 0kay. I would not rate it up there as a great hotel in rome. I have stayed in a few and this would be at the bottom end. The breakfast staff were rude and when i asked for hot water they told me it had all gone. It was 9.40am and breakfast finished at 10am! Another guest asked for bacon this was on Saturday moring and he was tole there woul dnot be any until Monday morning. I booked a taxi the night before we were leaving only to stand at the front desk whilst the manager complained and told me there was no booking, and i asked him could book another taxi for me and he ambled about and complained then after about ten minutes he eventually did.I would not take anything from the mini bar as it was extortionate prices. I think the review of it being a four star hotel is a complete lie, there is no way this thing was even a 2star! They must have rated it themselves. It is not central at all to the city and five mins away from the trvei fountain is not true either it is 15mins if you walk very fast.

Good hotel the only drawback was the door to the adjoining room which compromised our privacy a bit

Not sure about the 4* status... would have thought it was more 3*! But, it was easy to find and the staff were very courteous. (apart from the night porter putting someone else in our room and putting our bags out in the hallway at midnight on the first night!!! They did recompense with a bottle of wine for the misunderstanding though)

The hotel is close to the main station but away from most tourist attractions. You can walk to most of them in an hour and get to see so much on the way with a church, monument, or fountain on every corner. The hotel is very clean but the room was extremely small. The Irish bar on Via Nazionale by the Repubblica metro station is very good for first timers to Italy with helpful waiters in the restaurant to explain the wine, food, culture and must see sites, also with an happy hour for the lovers of the black stuff.

We found the description of recently refurbished and four star as misleading. Might be true but this was not what we expected from a four star hotel in a major EEC city. Would not use the hotel again.
