Description

Venue: Bicycle Trails    When: Daily

If you get tired of sun-tanning on the endless beach and you're a bicycle enthusiast, Rimini has around 30 kilometres of cycle paths that connect the coast with the city centre, providing pleasant routes through lush green parks.

For example, cyclists can depart on the seafront near Piazzale Kennedy and ride as far as Ausa Park through lush greenery. Once across Via Roma, the route crosses Cervi Park, where it is possible to admire the old walls and the Arch of Augustus. The route continues to Cava Lake, which is in a huge park close to Via Euterpe.

If you prefer panoramic views of the sea, try the cycle path that runs from Rimini canal port along the coast as far as Miramare.

A cycle ride through Rimini's green heart (around 20 kilometres, recommended for mountain bikes) starts in Rivabella and, once over the cycle-pedestrian wooden bridge that crosses the river, meets XXV Aprile Park that leads to Tiberius Bridge. From here, the cycle path runs along the old channel of the Marecchia River as far as Villa Verucchio, offering splendid panoramic views. Once you leave the state road it is possible to climb as far as Coriano and from there, take one of the many cycle routes that lead towards the spectacular landscape of the Conca Valley.
