The airport is located at the junction of the M3 and the M27 motorways, less than a mile from Junction 5 of the M27. The M3 is 1.5km (1 mile) away from the airport, providing fast routes to Basingstoke and London, and via the A33/A34 to Oxford and the Midlands. The airport is 32 km (20 miles) from Portsmouth and 14 km (9 miles) from Winchester.
The short-term car park is located adjacent to the Terminal and is recommended for stays of up to one day. Long-term parking, charged at a fixed daily rate, is located north of the Terminal and is divided into three zones. Frequent shuttle buses connect to the terminal building free of charge (journey time: 15 minutes); there are information buttons on the entrance/exit barriers and in the bus stop, to call for assistance or contact the bus driver. Long-term parking can be booked in advance (tel: (0)870 000 1000 or (0)121 410 5105). Dedicated spaces exist in the short-term car park for motorbikes and bicycles, free of charge.
Avis, Budget, Hertz and National/Alamo are all represented, with desks in Arrivals.
Rail: The airport is next to Southampton Airport (Parkway) Station and boasts the shortest ‘plane to train’ connection of any European airport. The airport terminal building is a short walk from Southampton Airport (Parkway) Station, where up to three trains depart every hour for London Waterloo and fast links exist to many InterCity destinations; for further information contact National Rail enquiries (tel: (0)8457 484 950) or South West Trains (tel: (0)23 8021 3600; website: www.swtrains.co.uk). Road: Taxi: Airportcarz (tel: (0)23 8062 7100) is located on the main concourse opposite the Arrivals hall and operates 24 hours a day. Bus: Bus no.101 is a regular bus service between the airport, Southampton University and the city centre, with up to two services an hour during university term time. Solent Blue Line (tel: (0)23 8061 8233) and Uni Link (tel: (0)23 8059 5974) also operate a number of services from Southampton Airport (Parkway) Station. Coach: The National Express terminal is located in Southampton city centre on Western Esplanade (tel: (0)8705 808 080).
An information desk is available in the passenger terminal. Live flight Arrivals information is available on the airport’s website and copies of the airport’s flight timetable is also available from the timetable request line (tel: (0)23 8062 7098).
Money and communications: A bureau de change is located on the main concourse before security, open for all international flights. ATMs are located on the main concourse (before security) and a post box is located immediately outside the terminal; and telephones throughout the terminal. Eating and drinking: Restaurants and bars are situated throughout the terminal building. Shopping: There is a newsagent/book store before security, which also sells snacks and games. A range of tax- and duty-free goods are also available after passport control, open for all flights. Luggage: For items lost whilst at the airport, go to the information desk in the terminal building. If an item is discovered lost once travellers have left the airport, there is a lost property information line (tel: (0)23 8062 0021). Trolleys are available free of charge throughout the terminal building. Other facilities: These include a baby care room situated on the main concourse, a first aid room situated by the Arrivals exit on the main concourse and a viewing gallery at the end of the passenger concourse.
There are no business facilities at the airport. The Best Western Botleigh Grange Hotel (tel: (0)1489 787700), three miles from the airport, offers conference facilities for up to 500 delegates, with five separate conference rooms are available.
The airport is located on one level making access easy for all passengers. Disabled travellers wishing to visit the conference centre, the viewing gallery or any of the airport offices should ask at the information desk: there is a dedicated lift taking disabled visitors to these area. Induction loops are found in various locations around the terminal, including the reserved seating area for special needs passengers and at the information desk. Payphones and credit card telephones are adapted for hearing aids. There are also text pay phones in the main concourse and the departures lounge. Unisex accessible toilets are provided on the main concourse and within the Departures lounge. Disabled parking is available in both car parks; courtesy shuttles are wheelchair accessible. There are help points to call for assistance situated in the car parks, at the information desk and at the Southampton Airport (Parkway) Train station; assistance to disabled passengers is free of charge.
There are no hotels located on site. However, the Best Western Botleigh Grange Hotel (tel: (0)1489 787 700), Express by Holiday Inn - Southampton West (tel: (0)23 8074 3100), Novotel Southampton (tel: (0)23 8033 0550), The Star Hotel (tel: (0)23 8033 9939) and The White Horse Inn (tel: (0)1489 877 490) are all located nearby.

From Dublin city centre, take the M50 northbound and exit onto the M1 northbound; the airport is signposted.
The airport has short- and long-term car parks, offering over 18,000 spaces. Short-term parking is available directly opposite the terminal building, while long-term parking is located on the eastern perimeter (accessed directly from the motorway) with a 24-hour shuttle bus service to the terminal. Valet parking is also available (tel: (0)1 814 4341).
Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Murrays and National all have desks situated in the Arrivals area. Pre-book car-hire companies, also with desks in the Arrivals area, include Argus, Atlas, Dan Dooley, Hamills, Malone, Sixt and Thrifty.
Road: Taxi: Taxis are available from outside the terminal. ECL (tel: (0)1 842 0249) offers chauffeured luxury saloon and minibus services. Bus: Frequent local bus services, operated by Dublin Bus (website: www.dublinbus.ie), leave from the main Arrivals road directly outside the terminal. These include the Airlink express bus, which runs to Dublin’s main bus and rail stations. Bus no.747 runs to the O’Connell Street, the central bus station and Parnell Square West. Bus no.748 runs to Heuston and Connolly rail stations and the central bus station. Other bus services operating from the airport include the 24-hour Aircoach service to south Dublin (including most major hotels in the city), and the AerDart shuttle service to Howth Junction DART station. Coach: Coach services operate from the airport’s coach park on the far side of the main car park building to many destinations in Ireland.
The Airport Information Desk and the Dublin Tourism information and reservation centre are both located on the Arrivals concourse.
Money and communications: Bureaux de change and ATMs are located throughout the terminal. A foreign exchange currency dispenser is located on the Departures level. There is a bank on the Departures concourse and a post office in the car park atrium. Eating and drinking: The airport has a variety of restaurants, cafés and bars. Shopping: Shops include duty-free, with a shopping street in the boarding area of Departures. Shopping information is available (tel: (0)1 814 4356). Luggage: A left-luggage facility is available in the atrium of the multi-storey car park. Portage service is available from Greencaps (tel: (0)1 814 4633). Other facilities: There is a pharmacy and a free nursery; baby change facilities are available in most airport toilets.
There are meeting rooms and business lounges available, with full business facilities, including photocopy, fax and Internet access (e-mail: theroomgublin@alpha-group.com). A VIP Service is also available (tel: (0)1 814 1111). Conference facilities in 13 venues, a fully equipped business centre, and a catering service are available at the Dublin Airport Great Southern Hotel (tel: (0)1 844 6000).
Facilities include adapted toilets, lifts with Braille buttons and an induction loop. Passengers should inform their airline of any special needs on arrival at the airport or when making their booking. A Minicom telephone is provided for hearing-impaired travellers (tel: (0)1 814 4613). Short- and long-term parking for disabled passengers is available and can be booked in advance (tel: (0)1 814 4828). Greencaps (tel: (0)1 814 4633) can provide wheelchair services for a small fee.
The Holiday Inn Dublin Airport (tel: (0)1 808 0500) and Dublin Airport Great Southern Hotel (tel: (0)1 844 6000) are both located on the airport premises. Hotel reservations can be made at the Dublin Tourism information and reservation centre and at the courtesy telephones on the Arrivals concourse.
