Terminals 1 and 2 are connected by the Millennium Link walkway.
The airport is situated on the A45 Coventry road, close to junction 6 of the M42. There are direct connections from the M1, M5, M6 and M40. The new M6 toll road provides a fast alternative to the M6. The airport is signposted from the motorways.

Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and National are represented in the Millennium Link.
Rail: The free Skyrail service links the airport directly to Birmingham International Train Station. A network of regional and intercity rail services depart from there, including a Virgin service to London Euston. Coach: National Express (tel: (0)8705 808 080; website: www.nationalexpress.com) operates long-distance coach services, linking the airport to Birmingham and a number of other cities, and provides inter-airport Flightlink (tel: (0)8705 757 747) coaches linking the airport with London Luton, London Gatwick and London Stansted airports.
The airport information desk (tel: (0)870 733 5511) is situated in the Millennium Link; there is also an information point located in the Departures Lounge. British Airways operates a customer service desks (tel: (0)121 767 7502/3) in Terminal 2. The Visitor Centre in Terminal 1 provides a reservation and information service.
Money and communications: Bureaux de change and ATMs are available in both terminals. Postal facilities are available in Terminal 1. Eating and drinking: There is an extensive range of cafés, restaurants, bars and fast-food outlets both airside and landside. Shopping: There are several retail shops at the airport. Luggage: A left-luggage facility (tel: (0)121 767 7987) is available on the first floor in Terminal 1. Other facilities: There are 24-hour medical centres in both terminals and a prayer room.
Business booths are available in the Terminal 1 Departures lounge; free work stations are provided, with credit-card operated telephone, e-mail, modem and fax facilities. Air Space (tel: (0)121 767 8063) provides meeting rooms accommodating between two and 40 people. Overhead projectors and flipcharts are available.
Adapted toilets and lifts are provided. Wheelchairs are available on request. Help with baggage and check-in is available by contacting the airport information desk (tel: (0) 870 733 5511) prior to arrival. Wheelchair and other assistance after check-in must be arranged through the individual airlines. A Minicom system (tel: (0)121 767 8084) is installed at the Terminal 1 airport information desk, and there is an induction loop system.
The Crowne Plaza NEC (tel: (0)121 781 4000), Hilton Birmingham Metropole (tel: (0)121 780 4242), Holiday Inn Express NEC (tel: (0)121 782 3222) and Novotel Birmingham International Airport (tel: (0)121 782 4111) are all located near the airport. From Limerick, the airport can be reached on the northbound N18, by following the signs for Ennis, and from Galway on the southbound N18. At Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, take the junction for Shannon Airport and bear left on the N19.
Short- and long-term car parking is available in some 2,000 spaces. The short-term car park is located directly opposite the terminal building.
Avis, Budget , Dan Dooley, Europcar, Hertz, Malone, Thrifty, National and Sixt all have desks in the Arrivals hall.
Road: Taxi: Taxis drop off passengers on the Departures courtyard outside the terminal building. There is a taxi desk in the Arrivals hall (tel: (0)61 471 538). Limousines: Vip Chauffeur (tel: (0)86 8175500; website: www.vipchauffeur.net) provides personal chauffeur services to and from the airport. Bus: There is a regular bus service to Limerick station. Coach: Coaches are operated by Bus Eireann (tel: (0)61 313 333; website: www.buseireann.ie), with regular services to Limerick and Ennis bus stations; a Bus Eireann desk is located in the Arrivals hall (tel: (0)61 474 311). Citylink provides four daily direct coach services to Galway.
The airport information desk (tel: (0)61 712 400) is located in the Arrivals concourse. The tourist information and reservations centre (tel: (0)61 471 664) is also located in the Arrivals concourse.
Money and communications: There are bureaux de change, full banking facilities and ATMs in the terminal. Eating and drinking: There is a self-service café on the first floor before check in, as well as a bar. The bar in the Departures lounge is open 24 hours a day. Shopping: There are Irish gift shops, a food store/newsagents and a mobile telephone/Internet access store between check-in and the Arrivals hall. There are duty-free shops in the Departures lounge (tel: (0)61 4775 047). Luggage: A left-luggage service is available via the Airport Operations Office (tel: (0)61 712 408); passengers should also contact this number for lost property enquiries. A porter can be summoned via the telephones situated throughout the terminal. Other facilities: There are two nurseries, located in the Departures lounge and Arrivals concourse.
Airlines and groups can request executive lounge facilities for corporate events, press launches and business meetings. For details during normal business hours, passengers should contact the Terminal Manager (tel: (0)61 712 295) or, outside normal hours, the Duty Airport Manager (tel: (0)61 712 241).
The airport has lifts, specially adapted payphones and vending machines, disabled toilets and ramps located throughout the terminal. There are two clearly marked spaces to pick-up and set-down disabled travellers in front of the Terminal. Disabled parking at long-term rates is available in the short-term car park, with spaces located adjacent to Terminal entrances. Passengers requiring special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel.
