- Kosovo Museum
Once the headquarters for the Yugoslav National Army, this Austro-Hungarian-inspired structure was bought by the Kosovo Museum in 1963. It has an extensive collection of archaeological and ethnological artefacts, although some of them were moved to Belgrade in 1998 to prevent any damages during the war and the museum is still waiting for their return. - Palace of Knossos
The Palace of Knossos is the oldest settlement yet found which belonged to the Minoan civilisation and was excavated in the early 20th century. The Dimitris Pierides Museum of Contemporary Art houses over a thousand paintings, sculptures, engravings and ceramics and includes works by artists from Greece and Cyprus. It is open to the public every day and hosts many cultural activities. - Kosova Art Gallery
Founded in 1979 in Pristina, the Kosova Art Gallery regularly organises collective and individual exhibitions of both local talent and international artists. The gallery is also the venue for art workshops, lectures and promotional events aimed at raising the profile of new trends in contempory art. - Archaeological Museum of Corfu
Built between 1962 and 1965, the Archaeological Museum of Corfu was originally constructed to house sculptures from the temple of Artemis - one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. In 1994 more rooms were added and now it also contains finds from recent excavations in Corfu Town.
