Accommodation description

The countryside around Kalives, located 20kms east of Chania, is one of the greenest in Crete and the backdrop of the White Mountains is beautiful. The village is a 15mins walk from the beautiful apartments. The owner, Yiannis, built these apartments just yards from the sea some years ago and appropriately named them Galazio Kima meaning ‘blue wave’. There is a mini-market only 5mins walk away along the beach.

The fine wide beach seems endless, and is surprisingly uncrowded even in high season. Here soft and deep sand is shaded by Tamarind trees and slopes gently into shallow water and making it ideal for children.

It is a 10mins walk from Tavernas, 15-20mins walk or 5mins drive from Kalyves (restaurants and shops), 25mins drive from Chania Town and 45mins drive from the Chania Airport.
