The Skylink moving walkway system links Terminals 1, 2 and 3 via the airport railway station.
The airport lies off junction 5 of the M56 motorway, which connects with the M60 (Manchester’s ring road) at junction 4. Directions for all terminals are clearly signposted.
There are some 14,000 parking spaces available at the airport. Short- and long-term parking facilities (tel: (0)161 489 3723) are available. The short-stay multi-storey parking lots are located close to Terminals 1, 2 and 3. Long-term parking is recommended for any stay over 6 hours. Pre-booking, with discounts offered, is available online. A regular courtesy shuttle bus operates from the long-term car parks to all terminals. Companies at the airport include Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National and Sixt. All have desks in each of the terminals.
Rail: Manchester Airport’s new rail, coach and bus interchange, known as The Station, is connected to all three terminals via the Skylink moving walkway system. Trains operate to Manchester Airport from many stations in northern England and the Midlands. There is a frequent service between the airport and Manchester Piccadilly Station in the city centre, which has connections to most major destinations. Road: Taxi: Taxis are available outside or near the Arrivals hall of each terminal. Bus: The airport’s bus network provides direct services to many local centres, as well as to other towns and cities. Coach: A number of National Express services (tel: (0)870 575 7747; website: www.nationalexpress.com) run from The Station to various destinations throughout the UK.
Tourist information centres are situated in the Arrivals areas of Terminals 1 and 2 (tel: (0)161 436 3344). There are also information desks situated in all terminals. Several members of staff are trained in British Sign Language.
Money and communications: ATMs, bureaux de change, banking facilities, Internet booths and a post office are available. Eating and drinking: All terminals have restaurants, cafés and bars with 24-hour facilities. Shopping: Duty-free shops and a variety of gift shops and concessions are available. Luggage: Left-luggage facilities and lost property offices are available (tel: (0)161 489 3463 for Terminal 1 or (0)161 489 6031 for Terminal 2). Other facilities: These include a medical centre, two prayer rooms, baby changing facilities and a 24-hour children’s play area.
The Airport Business Centre (tel: (0)161 490 5580) offers a wide range of professional business support services, including private workstations with telephone, fax, photocopying and word processing facilities, meeting room hire, Internet access and videoconferencing. The airport also has conference and banqueting facilities in the Atlantic Suite (tel: (0)161 489 6181/2) and Radisson SAS Hotel (tel: (0)161 490 5000), catering for up to 400 people and including a comprehensive range of audiovisual, telephone and fax equipment. The Escape Lounge (tel: (0)161 489 3388) offers passengers a chance to relax and use a variety of business facilities, including fax machines, telephones, Internet access and photocopying; there is a charge for entry to this lounge.
There are accessible toilets, ramps and lifts, hearing loops and wheelchair-accessible telephones throughout the terminals. All telephones are fitted with induction loops. The desk in Terminal 1 International Arrivals is equipped with a Minicom system (tel: (0)161 489 3561). Passengers requiring wheelchairs or special assistance should contact their airline prior to travel. There are parking spaces for disabled travellers (tel: (0)161 489 3723).

The terminals are situated close together and are easily accessible on foot.
From the A7 or the A2, take highway A352 or the Langenhagen exit for the airport.
There are multi-storey car parks at the airport, with short-term parking located directly opposite Terminals A and B. Long-term rates are available in Parkhaus Ost, Parkhaus Nord, P3 and the perimeter parking area; a free shuttle bus service to the terminals is available daily 24 hours. Executive parking is available in car park P1 and must be reserved in advance (tel: (0)511 977 1348). For further information, call the airport parking service (tel: (0)511 977 1548).
Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National and Sixt are all represented, with offices located in car park P1.
Rail: S-Bahn trains (line S5) go from the airport to the central railway station (journey time: 12 minutes). Information is available from the Airport Service Centre (tel: (0)511 977 1899) and from DB (tel: (0)1805 996 633; website: www.deutsch-bahn.de). Road: Taxi: Taxi stands are located at the entrance of the Arrivals terminal (journey time to central Hannover: 20 minutes). A door-to-door shuttle service is offered by Flughafen Transfer Hannover (tel: (0)511 977 2645; website: www.efa.de), available daily 24 hours. Bus: The express bus no.60 runs between the airport and the central railway station. Bus no.471 connects the airport with Langenhagen; tram no.1 runs between Langenhagen and the main railway station.
The Airport Service Centre (tel: (0)511 977 1899), in the Arrivals level B, provides information. Other information desks are available in the General Aviation Building (tel: (0)511 977 1223 or 977 1224).

Shopping: Shops include duty-free, a tobacconists, a supermarket, a clothing accessories shop and a perfumery. Luggage: The left-luggage office (tel: (0)511 977 2644) is located on the Arrivals level B, while lost property is handled by the Airport Service Centre (tel: (0)511 977 1899), also on the Arrivals level B. Other facilities: A children’s play area is located on the Departures level C.
Mövenpick Conference Center (tel: (0)511 977 2877), located between Terminal A and Terminal B, provides conference rooms for 5 to 350 people. Conference and business facilities are also available at the Maritim Airport Hotel Hannover (tel: (0)511 97370) and the Holiday Inn Hannover Airport (tel: (0)511 77070), both of which are located on site. A VIP Service (tel: (0)511 977 1579) is available at the airport.
Wheelchair transportation for disabled passengers is available on request from the Airport Service Centre; wheelchairs can be obtained from airline ticket counters and passengers should inform the airline in advance of any special needs. Lifts for wheelchairs are located throughout. There are also disabled toilets, which are located in the area between the terminals. Accessible public telephones are available. In parking garages P1 and P2, there are numerous parking spaces reserved for disabled travellers.
The Holiday Inn Hannover Airport (tel: (0)511 77070) and Maritim Airport Hotel Hannover (tel: (0)511 97370) are both located on site and both providing a free shuttle service to the terminal.
