The Pariser Platz DZ Bank building, designed by the American architect Frank Gehry, is one of Berlin's most spectacular new office buildings.
This being, first and foremost, a bank, the facade - a cascading mixture of sand-coloured stone and swooning glass, graced by massive chrome and glass doors - subtly disguises what lies beyond. The interior courtyard of the building shows Gehry's trademark: a massive, titanium, morphing form. In this case a towering, curvaceous fish that houses a central conference space captures motion and movement in the building.
As the building is owned by the DZ Bank, ordinary visitors aren't allowed in - you'll have to restrict your enthusiasm and stick to the outside.
