Munich's Kultfabrik, created in 2003, and the adjacent Optimolwerke provide a double-whammy of party possibilities. These former industrial areas in the district around Ostbanhof now claim to be Europe's biggest party area!
Taking some inspiration from Munich's factory-turned-clubland Kunstpark Ost - widely credited with giving the city's nightlife a shot in the arm - Kultfabrik has a dance club to suit every taste, whether it be salsa, hip-hop or house.
There are various restaurants and bars as well as generic entertainment palaces (including a striptease joint called New York Tabledance with both male and female strippers!). Optimolwerke is similar, and is home to the huge Babylon 2 club.
