Stuttgart's Planetarium offers several digital shows per day, explaining the world of the stars and planets to the visitor with the help of modern technologies, including a laser show.
The permanent show simulates a journey through time, switching from the beginning of the Chinese calendar to the constellations in 1953 and the appearance of a solar eclipse.
The changing programme focuses on more specific themes, such as the mystery of black holes. Another show questions whether the star of Bethlehem existed in reality. Academic talks, changing exhibitions of "cosmic painting" and a programme especially designed for children complete the programme.
