Ylläs combines all the ingredients necessary for a perfect Lapland experience. It offers a wide choice of activities and safaris, including exhilarating reindeer, husky and snowmobile safaris. The skies here are especially clear, ideal for witnessing the magical Northern Lights. The resort comprises two genuine Lappish villages set 15 minutes apart connected by a regular shuttle bus: Äkäslompolo where Äkäs Hotel and all our cabins are located, and Ylläsjärvi where the new luxury Ylläs Saaga hotel enjoys a panoramic slopeside position.

Your accommodation - Chalet Polar Star 1 & 2 - 7 nights chalet board

Two beautifully appointed modern pine log cabins tucked away in the snow-laden forest with a crackling open log fire place and wonderful meals. 6 Bedrooms in each chalet. 600m from the resort centre, 350m from the ski bus stop.

Bedrooms:4 twins ensuite sh/wc (ground flr) B: 2 large twins under eaves (1st flr), sharing ground floor wc/washbasin & separate shower. You will be allocated the "best" rooms available at the time of booking and this will be confirmed on your paper confirmation from the tour operator.

Meals: Chalet board of buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and, 6 nts per week, a 3 course evening meal including wine, coffee & chocolates, plus cheeseboard on 3 nights. One night a week you eat in a local restaurant - not included in holiday cost.

Facilities: Spacious open-plan lounge, dining/kitchen area, double sided fireplace, recreation area with TV, CD, DVD player. Double shower room leading to large sauna. Separate wc. Drying closet.

Children: We regret that children under 12 years cannot be accepted in this chalet.

What's Included:

• Return flights from UK airport to Kittila
• Return airport transfers
• Chalet breakfast: yoghurt, fruit juice, muesli, cereal, porridge, local bread, jams, boiled egg, fruit. On six days, a simple, cooked breakfast of two cooked items
• Afternoon tea: coffee, tea, freshly baked cake or biscuits, bread, butter, jams
• Hearty dinner with coffee, six days a week
• Free wine or cordial soft drinks during dinner until coffee is served
• Bed linen, one bath towel, one hand towel per guest. Towels are changed mid-week
• Duvets in every chalet
• The services of your own chalet host six days a week
• CD stereo with MP3/iPod connection in every chalet
• All chalets are non-smoking (smoking is only permitted on balconies and terraces)

Please note

• There is a baggage allowance of 20kgs. There is an additional charge of £15 per pair for the carriage of skis.
• Ski carriage must be pre-booked and there is a charge of £15 per pair return. If for any reason your skis cannot be carried, tour operator undertakes to transport your skis on the next available flight and deliver them to your accommodation.
• To book ski carriage enter the number of pairs you will be taking under optional extras at the end of your online booking. The charge will be added to your invoice.
• If you have any special requests (vegetarian meals etc.) please enter them under special requirements when making your online booking. Special requests will be noted but cannot be guaranteed.
• There is a 2.25% charge when payment is made by credit (not debit) card.

• The tour operator will send you their confirmation/invoice by post the next working day after your booking is received. The operator will not telephone you unless you are travelling within the next 10 days.
• Tickets will be dispatched 14 days before departure.
• Bookings accepted subject to the operator's usual terms and conditions which are available upon request.
