In the midst of unspoilt scenery in the Arctic wilderness lie the amazing Lappish resorts of Levi and Ylläs. Renowned as Finland’s best and most extensive ski areas for both alpine and cross-country skiing, they are also about the most northerly ski resorts in the world with fantastic snow-sure skiing from November to May. There is a warm friendly atmosphere in both resorts, excellent for an all round winter holiday.

The accommodation standards are very high with good food, and attractions off the slopes warrant a visit in their own right. Be sure to try husky, reindeer or snowmobile safaris deep into the pristine forests, and don’t forget a visit to meet Santa Claus is a must at any time! In the height of winter the daylight hours are shorter and the temperatures a crisp dry cold, but skiing amidst the silence of the fells, with the mystical blue light of ‘Kaamos’ and the prolonged rose-coloured dawns and dusk’s, will leave you with unforgettable images. There is a good chance of seeing the Northern Lights too. The transfer time is 1 hour approximately.

You will be accommodated in the 4* Ylläs Saaga Hotel, a modern ski-in/ski-out luxury resort hotel with excellent spa facilities and a choice of superior hotel rooms and high-quality apartments. Located next to the lifts, ski school and ski hire shop on the Ylläsjärvi side of the fell, it offers superb views over the surrounding Lappish countryside.

• Baggage allowance is 20kgs. There is an additional charge of £15 per pair for the carriage of skis.
• Ski carriage must be pre-booked and there is a charge of £15 per pair return. If for any reason your skis cannot be carried, the tour operator undertake to transport your skis on the next available flight and deliver them to your accommodation. To book ski carriages please enter the number of pairs you will be taking under extras at the end of your online booking. The charge will be added to your invoice.

Ticketing information • The tour operator will send you their confirmation/invoice by post the next working day after your booking is received.
