The airport is located just off the A8 from the centre of Edinburgh. The well-signed airport access road turns north off the A8 between the Gogar and Newbridge roundabouts.
The short-term car park is directly in front of the terminal building. Construction of a new multi-storey car par, with 2,000 new spaces is underway; Car Park 3, on Almond Road, with 400 short-stay spaces provides additional short-stay car parking for the duration of construction. The long-term car park is close by, served by a free courtesy coach to the terminal. Discounts are available for pre-booked long-term parking (tel: (0)870 000 1000), which can also be done online via the airport’s website. Secure parking is also available from Park & Fly (tel: (800) 032 0959), Flying Scot (tel: (0131) 333 3445; website: www.flyingscotparking.co.uk) and Secure Air Parks (tel: (0131) 333 3377; website: www.secureairparks.com).
Alamo, Avis, Europcar, Hertz and National, all have desks located in the Domestic Arrivals hall. Pre-booked cars from some off-airport companies can be contacted on the courtesy telephone located between Domestic Arrivals and check in.

Bus: Frequent bus services run from the bus station outside Domestic Arrivals to the central Edinburgh bus terminus at Waverley Bridge, also stopping at Edinburgh Haymarket rail station For more information on train services contact National Rail (tel: (0)845 748 4950; website: www.nationalrail.co.uk). The express service (bus no.100) operates daily 24 hours. Bus no.35 operates from Ocean Terminal via the city centre to Edinburgh Airport. Money and communications: The airport has bureaux de change, ATMs and a post office. Eating and drinking: Coffee shops are available throughout the airport and there are two bars and a food village. Shopping: There are tax- and duty-free outlets. For more information on shopping at the airport, contact the Shopping Information Line (tel: (0)870 000 1000). Luggage: A left-luggage facility and a lost property desk (tel: (0)131 344 3486) are available. Other facilities: These include baby care facilities and a prayer/quiet room.
Bmi, British Airways, Scotways and Servisair have executive lounges equipped with telephone, fax and Internet facilities. The Hilton Edinburgh Airport Hotel (tel: (0)131 519 4400) has conference facilities for up to 220 delegates.
Facilities for disabled people include accessible toilets, ramps, lifts and reserved seating. There is a TDD telephone in the International Arrivals area and the airport telephone switchboard is equipped with a Minicom system (tel: (0)131 344 3100). Induction loops are fitted at various points throughout the terminal. Passengers should advise their airline of their special needs in advance. Reserved parking and wheelchair push and provision and help with baggage are available. Assistance can also be pre-booked (tel: (0)131 344 3486).
The Hilton Edinburgh Airport (tel: (0)131 519 4400) is a short walk from the airport and is also connected by a free shuttle service. The Quality Hotel Airport (tel: (0)131 333 4331), Norton House Hotel (tel: (0)131 333 1275) and the Agenda Hotel (tel: (0)131 316 4466) are all very close by. Hotel reservations can be made through the British Hotel Reservation Centre (tel: (0)131 333 5119; website: www.bhrconline.com), located in the Domestic Arrivals area.

A free transit bus connects all three terminals. Terminals 1 and 2 are connected by a corridor in Pier A.
From Copenhagen, the airport can be accessed from the E20 highway. The Kystvejen coastal road, running around the airport, connects to the Øeresund motorway at Dragør. The Øeresund Bridge is a toll bridge that connects Sweden and Denmark and is the main route to the airport from destinations in Sweden.
The airport has some 6,800 spaces in short-, medium- and long-term parking lots. P1 is an economic alternative for passengers using Terminals 2 or 3, whilst P2 gives good access to Terminal 1, P4 is a multi-storey car park for Terminal 2, and P6, P7 and P8 are close to Terminal 3. P10 is an economy car park located further away from the terminals. Parking is free in all car parks for up to 15 minutes. The airport parking office is located in Terminal 3 and is open 24 hours (tel: (0)3252 8300).
Avis, Budget, Europcar and Hertz have offices in Terminals 1 and 3.
Rail: There are direct high-speed trains to Copenhagen Central Station (journey time: 12 minutes), as well as a number of other destinations in Denmark and Sweden. The train station is situated in Terminal 3. Road: Taxi: Taxis are readily available from ranks outside the Arrivals area of Terminals 1 and 3. Bus: Several buses, include bus nos.30, 250S and 500S, run from the airport to the city centre and beyond. Night bus no.96N runs from Terminal 3 to Rådhuspladsen. Information desks (tel: (0)3231 2448) are located in the Arrivals and transit halls in Terminals 2 and 3, and there is a visitor centre in Terminal 3.
Money and communications: Banks are located in Terminal 2. There are bureaux de change in Terminals 2 and 3, and ATMs in all terminals. A post office is situated between Terminals 2 and 3. Wireless Internet is available at many points in the terminals and a number of self-service Internet kiosks can be found in the transit areas of Terminals 2 and 3. Eating and drinking: There are plenty of restaurants, bars and cafés at the airport. Shopping: Shopping is plentiful, with many duty-free shops. A pre-order and pick-up service is available (website: www.buy-fly.dk). Luggage: A left-luggage facility is available between Terminals 2 and 3, and there are also self-service lockers. Other facilities: There are shower and sauna facilities at the Transfer Hotel. Play areas for children are situated in Terminals 2 and 3; most toilets are equipped with baby change facilities. A 24-hour prayer room and a free rest area are located in Terminal 2.
The Hilton Business Centre (tel: (0)3244 5208; website: www.hilton.dk) is located in Terminal 3 and has 14 executive conference rooms, a VIP room, a conference room accommodating up to 50 delegates, and nine meeting rooms. Various airlines and handling agents also provide business facilities in their executive lounges in Terminals 2 and 3.
The airport is physically accessible throughout and wheelchair-accessible toilets are provided. Passengers with disabilities are requested to inform their airline in advance of their needs. Disabled parking spaces are available too. Induction loops are fitted in the transit halls and reserved seating is available.
The Transfer Hotel (tel: (0)3231 2455) is located within the transit hall of the airport (maximum stay: 16 hours). The Hilton Copenhagen Airport Hotel (tel: (0)3250 1501; website: www.hilton.dk) is located at the airport, and can be accessed via a covered walkway from Terminal 3. A hotel reservations desk is available in the International Arrivals hall.
