The largest museum in the Czech Republic, the Prague National Museum houses over 14 million artefacts covering all aspects of science and history.

Occupying a prime location at the top of Wenceslas Square, this massive neo-Renaissance structure was founded by Joseph Schulz in 1818 and stands as an architectural monument to the Czech national revival of the 19th century.

The museum hosts a number of temporary exhibitions alongside its permanent collection, which includes information and artefacts concerned with primeval Bohemian history, anthropology, mineralogy and zoology.
