The airport is located just off the A8 from the centre of Edinburgh. The well-signed airport access road turns north off the A8 between the Gogar and Newbridge roundabouts.
The short-term car park is directly in front of the terminal building. Construction of a new multi-storey car par, with 2,000 new spaces is underway; Car Park 3, on Almond Road, with 400 short-stay spaces provides additional short-stay car parking for the duration of construction. The long-term car park is close by, served by a free courtesy coach to the terminal. Discounts are available for pre-booked long-term parking (tel: (0)870 000 1000), which can also be done online via the airport’s website. Alamo, Avis, Europcar, Hertz and National, all have desks located in the Domestic Arrivals hall. Pre-booked cars from some off-airport companies can be contacted on the courtesy telephone located between Domestic Arrivals and check in.

Bus: Frequent bus services run from the bus station outside Domestic Arrivals to the central Edinburgh bus terminus at Waverley Bridge, also stopping at Edinburgh Haymarket rail station For more information on train services contact National Rail (tel: (0)845 748 4950; website: www.nationalrail.co.uk). The express service (bus no.100) operates daily 24 hours. Bus no.35 operates from Ocean Terminal via the city centre to Edinburgh Airport. Money and communications: The airport has bureaux de change, ATMs and a post office. Eating and drinking: Coffee shops are available throughout the airport and there are two bars and a food village. Luggage: A left-luggage facility and a lost property desk (tel: (0)131 344 3486) are available. Other facilities: These include baby care facilities and a prayer/quiet room.
Bmi, British Airways, Scotways and Servisair have executive lounges equipped with telephone, fax and Internet facilities. The Hilton Edinburgh Airport Hotel (tel: (0)131 519 4400) has conference facilities for up to 220 delegates.
Facilities for disabled people include accessible toilets, ramps, lifts and reserved seating. There is a TDD telephone in the International Arrivals area and the airport telephone switchboard is equipped with a Minicom system (tel: (0)131 344 3100). Induction loops are fitted at various points throughout the terminal. Passengers should advise their airline of their special needs in advance. Reserved parking and wheelchair push and provision and help with baggage are available. Assistance can also be pre-booked (tel: (0)131 344 3486).
The Hilton Edinburgh Airport (tel: (0)131 519 4400) is a short walk from the airport and is also connected by a free shuttle service. The Quality Hotel Airport (tel: (0)131 333 4331), Norton House Hotel (tel: (0)131 333 1275) and the Agenda Hotel (tel: (0)131 316 4466) are all very close by. Hotel reservations can be made through the British Hotel Reservation Centre (tel: (0)131 333 5119; website: www.bhrconline.com), located in the Domestic Arrivals area.

Both terminals are housed in one building and are within walking distance of each other.
The best route to the airport is the A4 Airport Motorway. The motorway exit marked ‘Flughafen’ (Airport) leads directly to the terminal. The B9 road is an alternative main route.
There are several car parks at the airport. K1, K2 and K3 are short-term car parks; and discount long-term parking is available in lot C. More information is available (tel: (0)1 7007 22886).
Companies represented at the airport include Arac/Europcar, ATL, Avis, Budget, Hertz, National/Alamo, Sixt and Thrifty.
Rail: The City Airport Train (tel: (0)1 25250; website: www.cityairporttrain.at) runs to the City Air Terminal at Wien Mitte. The S-Bahn (overground train) connects the airport to Wien Mitte and Wien Nord railway stations (journey time: 25 minutes); it provides connections to the Vienna U-Bahn (underground rail) system. Road: Taxi: Taxis to the city leave from outside the Arrivals hall. A chauffeur and limousine service is offered by Radio Car Vienna (tel: (0)1 7007 33340). Bus: Buses go to Wien Mitte, Südbahnhof and Westbahnhof railway stations and to Wien Schwedenplatz and the Vienna International Centre. Coach: Services are available to Bratislava (Slovak Republic) and Budapest (Hungary). An airport transfer service is also available (tel: (0)1 7007 35910).
Information desks can be found in the Terminal 2 and at the bus station. The airport has a 24-hour telephone information service (tel: (0)1 7007 22233).
Money and communications: The airport has banks in both the Arrivals and Departures halls. ATMs and bureau de change facilities are available throughout. There are post offices in the Departures hall between Terminals 1 and 2 and the Plaza shopping area. Eating and drinking: The airport has several cafés, snack bars, restaurants and bars. Shopping: There are over 70 shops, including duty-free. Luggage: Porters (tel: (0)1 7007 33140/1) are available on request at a small charge. Luggage trolleys are also available. There is a 24-hour left-luggage facility in the Arrivals area; and safety deposit boxes. There is also a lost property service (tel: (0)1 7007 29360). Other facilities: There is a 24-hour medical centre and a pharmacy.
The Airport VIP & Business Centre (tel: (0)1 7007 23300/400/406) can organise events and press conferences as well as provide room hire for up to 40 delegates. The Danube Aviator Club provides five executive lounges with workspaces, telephone, modem, fax and message services, and an adjacent meeting room. The Vienna Airport World Trade Center (tel: (0)1 7007 36000) provides office hire plus excellent facilities for meetings, functions and conferences for up to 300 delegates, with secretarial and interpretation services, bank branches and a chamber of commerce also available. The Astron Hotel & Convention Center Vienna Airport (tel: (0)1 701 510; website: www.astron-hotels.de) also offers conference facilities.
There are disabled toilets, lifts, telephones and Internet connections accessible to wheelchair users. Wheelchairs can be provided at the airport; assistance can be requested prior to arrival via the airport’s website. Disabled parking spaces are available in car parks 1, 3, 4 and C, with good access to the terminals.
The Astron Hotel & Convention Center Vienna Airport (tel: (0)1 701 510; website: www.astron-hotels.de) is located directly opposite the airport terminals and next to the Vienna Airport World Trade Center.
