The terminals are connected via a covered walkway.
The airport is located just north of the M8 motorway at junction 28.
Short-stay, long-stay and business parking are all available, operated by NCP (tel: (0)870 606 7050; website: www.ncp.co.uk). The short-stay car parks are all within walking distance of the terminals, and there are regular transfer coaches to the terminal from the long-stay car park. Long-stay parking with discounts can be pre-booked through BAA Advance (tel: (0)870 000 1000) or online via the airport’s website.
Alamo, Avis, Europcar, Hertz and National have desks next to Domestic Arrivals .
Rail: The Gilmour Street railway station in Paisley is 3km (2 miles) from the airport and is only a few minutes away by taxi or local bus. Trains run to Glasgow Central rail station. Transfers to either Queen Street station or Buchanan bus station are available on bus no.398. Bus: Bus no.905 runs to central Glasgow, stopping at Glasgow Central station, Queen Street station and Buchanan bus station. Buses are also available to other destinations. The airport information desk is on the first floor, next to the Domestic Arrivals/Departures area. There are computer information kiosks on the ground floor and a Greater Glasgow and Clyde Valley Tourist Board (tel: (0)141 848 4400 or 4758) in International Arrivals, providing tourist and accommodation information.
Money and communications: The airport has bureaux de change, ATMs, a post office and telephones equipped with fax and e-mail facilities. Eating and drinking: Restaurants, cafés and bars are concentrated on the first floor. Shopping: Shopping includes duty-free. A lost property service (tel: (0)141 848 4740) is also available. Uniformed members of staff are on hand to assist with baggage. A business workstation with telephone, fax and Internet facilities is available on the first floor concourse. The Glasgow Airport Business Centre (tel: (0)141 847 5450) offers meeting rooms, conference and training facilities, an IT suite and full secretarial support. There is a Servisair Executive Lounge, with credit-card operated telephones and fax facilities. Conference facilities for up to 35 delegates are available at the Travel Inn (tel: (0)141 842 1563).
Facilities include wheelchair-accessible toilets, ramps, lifts and reserved seating, as well as induction loops, a TDD telephone and a Minicom information line (tel: (0)141 848 4848). Passengers should advise their airline in advance of any special needs. Disabled parking spaces are available. Passengers requiring assistance from the car park to the terminals should arrange this in advance by contacting Passenger Assistance Limited (tel: (0)141 848 4938). Both terminals are housed in one building and are within walking distance of each other.
The best route to the airport is the A4 Airport Motorway. The motorway exit marked ‘Flughafen’ (Airport) leads directly to the terminal. The B9 road is an alternative main route.
There are several car parks at the airport. K1, K2 and K3 are short-term car parks; and discount long-term parking is available in lot C. More information is available (tel: (0)1 7007 22886).
Companies represented at the airport include Arac/Europcar, ATL, Avis, Budget, Hertz, National/Alamo, Sixt and Thrifty.
Rail: The City Airport Train (tel: (0)1 25250; website: www.cityairporttrain.at) runs to the City Air Terminal at Wien Mitte. The S-Bahn (overground train) connects the airport to Wien Mitte and Wien Nord railway stations (journey time: 25 minutes); it provides connections to the Vienna U-Bahn (underground rail) system. Road: Taxi: Taxis to the city leave from outside the Arrivals hall. A chauffeur and limousine service is offered by Radio Car Vienna (tel: (0)1 7007 33340). Bus: Buses go to Wien Mitte, Südbahnhof and Westbahnhof railway stations and to Wien Schwedenplatz and the Vienna International Centre. Coach: Services are available to Bratislava (Slovak Republic) and Budapest (Hungary). An airport transfer service is also available (tel: (0)1 7007 35910).

There are post offices in the Departures hall between Terminals 1 and 2 and the Plaza shopping area. Eating and drinking: The airport has several cafés, snack bars, restaurants and bars. The Airport VIP & Business Centre (tel: (0)1 7007 23300/400/406) can organise events and press conferences as well as provide room hire for up to 40 delegates. The Danube Aviator Club provides five executive lounges with workspaces, telephone, modem, fax and message services, and an adjacent meeting room. The Vienna Airport World Trade Center (tel: (0)1 7007 36000) provides office hire plus excellent facilities for meetings, functions and conferences for up to 300 delegates, with secretarial and interpretation services, bank branches and a chamber of commerce also available. The Astron Hotel & Convention Center Vienna Airport (tel: (0)1 701 510; website: www.astron-hotels.de) also offers conference facilities.
There are disabled toilets, lifts, telephones and Internet connections accessible to wheelchair users. Wheelchairs can be provided at the airport; assistance can be requested prior to arrival via the airport’s website. Disabled parking spaces are available in car parks 1, 3, 4 and C, with good access to the terminals.
