The resort is a genuine Austiain mountain town, and its chocolate-box streets and buildings are much loved by loyal skiers. The centre has been transformed with a quaint-looking pedestrian zone lined with shops, cafés and handsome hotels. Europe's affluent and stylish adore the many chic shops and the sophisticated nightlife. The resort has spread over the years, meandering towards the quieter hamlets of Mooserkreuz, Nasserein and St Jakob. Luckily, a regular shuttle bus connects all these areas.

To say the ski area is extensive is an understatement. As part of a network of neighbourhing resorts, St Anton's skiers can enjoy Lech, Zurs, Stuben and St Christoph as well. This is intermediates and advanced skiers' heaven, with challenges and mileage to suit everyone. Beginners are amply catered for by the nursery slopes of Nasserein. Boarders have become increasingly welcome too, and the slopes are ideal for experienced riders. So anyone who loves the white stuff will adore St Anton - no question.
