A purpose-built resort on the French / Spanish border, Pas de la Casa forms part of Andorra’s biggest ski area. As a ski destination, Pas de la Casa has an efficient new lift system and an excellent snow record. It usually boasts good conditions well into April. The resort has also teamed up with neighbouring Soldeu to form a joint ski area covered by one pass and known as the Grand Valira. The 60 lifts serve some 200km of mainly beginner and intermediate terrain encompassing five villages. For beginners, the ski school is well-known for its good standard of spoken English – an important attribute for the many improvers among the British presence. Snowboarders are spoilt with their very own snowpark, handily located on the Tubs piste.
