The airport is located 14km (9 miles) northwest of Miami
GMT - 5 (GMT - 4 from the first Sunday in April to the last Sunday in October)

From downtown Miami, take the I-95 north to State Road 836 West, take the exit at LeJeune Road northbound (NW 42 Avenue); the airport is well signposted. From the north, take the I-95 south to State Road 112, continuing to the connector to the airport. From the southwest, take State Road 826 north and exit at LeJeune Road northbound (NW 42 Avenue).
Long-term airport parking facilities (tel: 305 876 7536) consist of two multi-level parking garages, Dolphin and Flamingo Garage, both with direct access to the terminal via moving walkways. There are also two short-term car parks situated near the terminal building, signposted as Upper and Lower Level Park One.
Companies include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Payless, Royal Rent A Car and Thrifty, as well as a number of local agencies. Desks are located inside the baggage reclaim area, on Level 1 of the terminal.
Road: Taxi: Taxis are available outside baggage reclaim. Limousine: A comprehensive list of limousine companies can be found on the airport’s website; limousines should be pre-arranged. Bus: The SuperShuttle bus service (tel: 305 871 2000) is available outside the baggage claim areas, for services to destinations in and around Miami. The Miami-Dade Transit Department provides bus services to all areas of Miami-Dade County. The bus station is located on Level 1 of Terminal E. Rail: Metrobus also provides a connection to the Tri-Rail commuter train system at the Airport Station, immediately east of the station, with connections to Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Services from Airport Station to the airport is free for valid air ticket holders.
There is a tourist information centre on level 2 Concourse E across from the hotel. Passengers can request information on a range of airport facilities through the airport’s website.
Money and communications: There is a full service bank and a post office. Bureaux de change, ATMs and data port connections are available throughout the terminal. Eating and drinking: There is a wide variety of facilities including 24-hour snack bars, cocktail lounges and numerous cafés. Shopping: There is a range of shops, including duty-free on concourses A-F. Luggage: A porter service and trolleys are available. Other facilities: There are pharmacies, an art gallery, a hairdresser, shoeshine and a chapel.
The Miami International Airport Hotel (tel: 305 871 4100) operates the Executive Conference Center. The centre provides business services and has meeting rooms for up to 12 delegates and a conference suite for up to 200 delegates. It is fully equipped with audiovisual equipment and also provides a catering service. Airlines operate executive lounges throughout the terminal.
Most toilets are wheelchair-accessible and TDD telephones for hearing-impaired people are available. Designated disabled-permit parking is located on Level 3, near the moving walkways. Wheelchair service is available through the airlines.
The Miami International Airport Hotel (tel: 305 871 4100) is located inside Concourse E, on Level 2, with 259 rooms, a restaurant, and business facilities. Nearby hotels include the Best Western Airport Inn, Courtyard Miami Airport, Crowne Plaza Miami Airport, Fairfield Inn Airport South, Hilton Miami Airport & Towers, Holiday Inn Express Airport, Holiday Inn Miami Airport, Miami Airport Marriott, Sleep Inn Miami Airport and Wyndham Miami Airport, all within 3km (2 miles) of the airport. Many hotels offer shuttle services to/from the airport.
