The Skylink moving walkway system links Terminals 1, 2 and 3 via the airport railway station.

Driving Directions

The airport lies off junction 5 of the M56 motorway, which connects with the M60 (Manchester’s ring road) at junction 4. Directions for all terminals are clearly signposted.

Car Parking

There are some 14,000 parking spaces available at the airport. Short- and long-term parking facilities (tel: (0)161 489 3723) are available. The short-stay multi-storey parking lots are located close to Terminals 1, 2 and 3. Long-term parking is recommended for any stay over 6 hours. Pre-booking, with discounts offered, is available online. A regular courtesy shuttle bus operates from the long-term car parks to all terminals. Public Transport

Rail: Manchester Airport’s new rail, coach and bus interchange, known as The Station, is connected to all three terminals via the Skylink moving walkway system. Trains operate to Manchester Airport from many stations in northern England and the Midlands. There is a frequent service between the airport and Manchester Piccadilly Station in the city centre, which has connections to most major destinations. Tourist information centres are situated in the Arrivals areas of Terminals 1 and 2 (tel: (0)161 436 3344). There are also information desks situated in all terminals. Several members of staff are trained in British Sign Language.

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: ATMs, bureaux de change, banking facilities, Internet booths and a post office are available. Eating and drinking: All terminals have restaurants, cafés and bars with 24-hour facilities. Shopping: Duty-free shops and a variety of gift shops and concessions are available. Disabled Facilities

From Melbourne city centre, take the CityLink toll road; this becomes the Tullamarine Freeway, which leads to the airport.

Car Parking

The airport has both long- and short-term car parks, as well as two Business Park facilities. All operate daily 24 hours. Short-term parking is located in the multi-storey car park immediately in front of the passenger terminals, connected by covered walkways. A free shuttle bus runs from the long-term parking lot to terminals, daily 24 hours. The multi-storey car park Business Park South offers undercover parking with direct access to the terminal via sheltered walkways. Road: Taxi: Taxis are available from the ground floor level of the terminal building, in front of the South Terminal and the Qantas Terminal (journey time into the centre of Melbourne: 30 minutes). The airport operates a Travellers Information Desk (tel: (0)3 9297 1805), located in the International Terminal Arrivals area, which is open at all times during flight operation hours. There is also an information desk in the Departures area.

Disabled Facilities

Wheelchair-accessible toilets, travelators and lifts are provided throughout the airport. There is a text telephone on the ground floor of the International Terminal, in the Arrivals area. Disabled parking is available.
