Transfer between Terminals

The Skylink moving walkway system links Terminals 1, 2 and 3 via the airport railway station.

Driving Directions

The airport lies off junction 5 of the M56 motorway, which connects with the M60 (Manchester’s ring road) at junction 4. Directions for all terminals are clearly signposted.

Car Parking

There are some 14,000 parking spaces available at the airport. Short- and long-term parking facilities (tel: (0)161 489 3723) are available. The short-stay multi-storey parking lots are located close to Terminals 1, 2 and 3. Long-term parking is recommended for any stay over 6 hours. Pre-booking, with discounts offered, is available online. A regular courtesy shuttle bus operates from the long-term car parks to all terminals. Car Hire

Companies at the airport include Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National and Sixt. All have desks in each of the terminals.

Public Transport

Rail: Manchester Airport’s new rail, coach and bus interchange, known as The Station, is connected to all three terminals via the Skylink moving walkway system. Trains operate to Manchester Airport from many stations in northern England and the Midlands. There is a frequent service between the airport and Manchester Piccadilly Station in the city centre, which has connections to most major destinations. Tourist information centres are situated in the Arrivals areas of Terminals 1 and 2 (tel: (0)161 436 3344). There are also information desks situated in all terminals. Several members of staff are trained in British Sign Language.

Eating and drinking: All terminals have restaurants, cafés and bars with 24-hour facilities. Shopping: Duty-free shops and a variety of gift shops and concessions are available. The airport also has conference and banqueting facilities in the Atlantic Suite (tel: (0)161 489 6181/2) and Radisson SAS Hotel (tel: (0)161 490 5000), catering for up to 400 people and including a comprehensive range of audiovisual, telephone and fax equipment. Disabled Facilities

Transfer between Terminals

The airport terminals are spread over two different locations 4km (2.5 miles) apart in the north of Mumbai. Terminal 2 is located at Sahar, and deals with international flights. Terminal 1, which deals with domestic flights only, is located at Santa Cruz. Free inter-terminal coach services transfer passengers between the terminals.

Car parking is available at both terminals. There are some 1,220 spaces at Terminal 2 and 780 spaces at the Terminal 1, with premium and standard car parks available at both terminals.

Public Transport

Road: Taxi: Pre-paid taxis, metered taxis and motor rickshaws are available at the airport (journey time to the city centre: 90-180 minutes). Bus: Buses are also available, with a city bus service to Mumbai and a pre-paid coach service to destinations in the southern states available. Intercity coach services can be booked in the Arrivals areas of Terminal 2. Rail: A railway reservation counter is also situated in Terminal 2, for connections to the metro rail system; trains run to he nearby airport Mumbai CST Terminus (formerly known as the Victoria Terminus) and Churchgate for connections to Mumbai and destinations throughout India.

Disabled Facilities

There are lifts between floors, as well as disabled toilets and disabled parking at the airport. Wheelchairs are also available from the airlines on request; passengers requiring special assistance should inform the airline prior to travel. Free assistance to disabled passengers is available.
