One of the fascinations of India is the juxtaposition of old and new; centuries of history from the pre-historic Indus civilisation to the British Raj rub shoulders with the computer age; and Bangalore's Silicon Valley is as much a part of the world's largest democracy as the remotest village is.

- Vivekananda Museum
Chennai's Vivekananda Museum is housed in a building formerly known as the Ice House, which once stored massive ice blocks transported from North America. Later, Swami Vivekananda, one of the most famous and influential spiritual leaders of the Vedanta philosophy, used to preach from here, and the building now houses a collection of photographs and memorabilia from his inspiring spiritual life. - Chaturmukha Jain Temple
