For this special holiday in Tunisia we’ve included a 2-day mini safari with the following programme:

• 7 night guests arriving Sunday spend first 4 nights and last 2 nights at the Hotel Kanta, guests arriving Tuesday spend first 2 nights and last 4 nights at the Hotel Kanta, guests arriving Saturday spend first 5 nights and last night at Hotel Kanta.
• 9 night guests arriving Friday spend first 6 nights and last 2 nights at the Hotel Kanta, guests arriving Sunday spend the first 4 nights and the last 4 nights at the Hotel Kanta
• 10 night guests arriving Saturday spend first 5 nights and last 4 nights at the Hotel Kanta, guests arriving Tuesday spend first 2 nights and last 7 nights at the Hotel Kanta.

• Day 1: Port El Kantaoui - El Djem - Matmata - Douz
  Early start from your hotel to visit the Roman Coloseum at El Djem, then travel to Matmata, home of the Troglodyte cave dwelling people where scenes from the original Star Wars film were shot. Lunch in Matmata then continue to Douz 'Gateway town to the Sahara'. Walk on the sand dunes and take an optional camel ride at sunset or sunrise. Dinner and overnight at a 3 star hotel on the edge of the Sahara desert.

• Day 2: Douz - Chott El Jerid - Tozeur - mountain oases - Kairouan - Port El Kantaoui
  Take an early breakfast in your hotel then travel via the Chott El Jerid salt lake to the oasis town of Tozeur. Optional horse drawn camel ride. Take a journey in 4 x 4 vehicles to the mountain oases of Chebika, Tamerza and Mides and after lunch travel back to your resort hotel via the Holy City of Kairouan.

Your holiday price includes: Direct scheduled flights, airport taxes, in-flight meals, fuel surcharge, resort transfers and accommodation for 7, 9 or 10 nights on a half board basis at the Hotel Kanta and included 2-day mini safari on a full board basis.

Please note: you may be accommodated in the newly refurbished studio apartments within the grounds of the hotel.

Accommodation description

The Hotel Kanta is situated in the heart of Port El Kantaoui resort just two minutes walk from the marina. Popular with British holidaymakers for many years, this delightful hotel is set amidst extensive and beautiful gardens. Just 800 metres away is the hotel’s private section of the beach complete with snack bar, showers, umbrellas and sun beds. The Hotel Kanta is noted for its good food and friendly service. The Kanta is just a 15-minute walk from the 36-hole El Kantaoui Golf Course and green fees/tee off times can be pre-booked through your tour operator.
