The airport is located just off the A8 from the centre of Edinburgh. The well-signed airport access road turns north off the A8 between the Gogar and Newbridge roundabouts.
The short-term car park is directly in front of the terminal building. Construction of a new multi-storey car par, with 2,000 new spaces is underway; Car Park 3, on Almond Road, with 400 short-stay spaces provides additional short-stay car parking for the duration of construction. The long-term car park is close by, served by a free courtesy coach to the terminal. Discounts are available for pre-booked long-term parking (tel: (0)870 000 1000), which can also be done online via the airport’s website. Secure parking is also available from Park & Fly (tel: (800) 032 0959), Flying Scot (tel: (0131) 333 3445; website: www.flyingscotparking.co.uk) and Secure Air Parks (tel: (0131) 333 3377; website: www.secureairparks.com).
Alamo, Avis, Europcar, Hertz and National, all have desks located in the Domestic Arrivals hall. Pre-booked cars from some off-airport companies can be contacted on the courtesy telephone located between Domestic Arrivals and check in.
Road: Taxis: Taxis are available from Skycabs (tel: (0)131 333 2220; website: www.skycab-edinburgh.com), which depart from outside Domestic Arrivals. Bus: Frequent bus services run from the bus station outside Domestic Arrivals to the central Edinburgh bus terminus at Waverley Bridge, also stopping at Edinburgh Haymarket rail station For more information on train services contact National Rail (tel: (0)845 748 4950; website: www.nationalrail.co.uk). The express service (bus no.100) operates daily 24 hours. Bus no.35 operates from Ocean Terminal via the city centre to Edinburgh Airport. The combined airport information and Edinburgh & Lothian Tourist Board desk is located next to International Arrivals (tel: 0870 040 0007 or (0131) 473 3800).
Money and communications: The airport has bureaux de change, ATMs and a post office. Eating and drinking: Coffee shops are available throughout the airport and there are two bars and a food village. Shopping: There are tax- and duty-free outlets. For more information on shopping at the airport, contact the Shopping Information Line (tel: (0)870 000 1000). Luggage: A left-luggage facility and a lost property desk (tel: (0)131 344 3486) are available. Other facilities: These include baby care facilities and a prayer/quiet room.
Bmi, British Airways, Scotways and Servisair have executive lounges equipped with telephone, fax and Internet facilities. The Hilton Edinburgh Airport Hotel (tel: (0)131 519 4400) has conference facilities for up to 220 delegates.
Facilities for disabled people include accessible toilets, ramps, lifts and reserved seating. There is a TDD telephone in the International Arrivals area and the airport telephone switchboard is equipped with a Minicom system (tel: (0)131 344 3100). Induction loops are fitted at various points throughout the terminal. Passengers should advise their airline of their special needs in advance. Reserved parking and wheelchair push and provision and help with baggage are available. Assistance can also be pre-booked (tel: (0)131 344 3486).
The Hilton Edinburgh Airport (tel: (0)131 519 4400) is a short walk from the airport and is also connected by a free shuttle service. The Quality Hotel Airport (tel: (0)131 333 4331), Norton House Hotel (tel: (0)131 333 1275) and the Agenda Hotel (tel: (0)131 316 4466) are all very close by. Hotel reservations can be made through the British Hotel Reservation Centre (tel: (0)131 333 5119; website: www.bhrconline.com), located in the Domestic Arrivals area.

The airport can be accessed from the M4 Southern Freeway from Durban city centre and is well signposted.
Car parking is available in both open-air and shaded areas. Trolleys are available from the car park areas, which are within walking distance of the terminal.
Avis, Budget, Imperial, Hertz, Europcar, Khaya, National Alamo, Tempest, Thrifty and Woodford are represented at the airport. Desks are located in Arrivals areas.
Road: Taxi: Taxi services leave from in front of the Departures Terminal; operators include A Hassan (tel: (0)31 845 663), Aussies Radio Taxis (tel: (0)31 309 7888), Boshoff (tel: (0)31 306 6330), Checkers Radio Taxis (tel: (0)31 465 5573) and Eagle Radio Taxis (tel: (0)31 337 2442). Bus: Airport shuttle services to Durban are operated by Sunride Shuttle (tel: (0)31 451 6545), Super Shuttle (tel: (0)31 465 1606) and Coastal Motor Transport (tel: (0)31 465 5573). Cheetah Coaches (tel: (0)31 420 2666) operates a shuttle service to Pietermaritzburg. Airport shuttles leave from in front of the Departures Terminal.
There is an Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) Information Centre (tel: (0)31 451 6584/85/87) in the Departures passage. There is also a Teleguide hotel information board and a Mr Info touch screen information, both located in Arrivals. In addition, there is a tourism information office, in the Domestic Arrivals area, operated by KwaZulu-Natal Tourism Authority, Durban Africa and ACSA. This office offers information on events, attractions and accommodation (tel: (0)31 451 6947). There are ACSA courtesy help line telephones situated within the terminal building.
Money and communications: ATMs are located on the ground floor of the Arrivals Terminal. A bureau de change can be found on the ground floor of International Departures, along with a banking hall in the Arrivals Terminal, which includes a bureau de change. A post office is also available within the terminal building. Fax and Internet facilities are available at the tourism information office in the Arrivals Terminal; further Internet facilities are available on the public concourse. Mobile phone hire is available on the public concourse. Eating and drinking: Bars and restaurants are available, including a steak house, pizzerias, a cigar bar and a coffee shop. Shopping: There are numerous shops at the airport, including a luggage shop, sweet shop, duty-free, florist, gift shop, sports and surf shops, South African specialities, CD shop and bookshop. Luggage: There is no left-luggage facility at the airport. Other facilities: A pharmacy is situated in Domestic Arrivals.

There are lifts, ramps, wheelchairs, disabled toilets and reserved parking for disabled passengers.
