- Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens
Kirstenbosch, meaning "Kirsten's Forest," is one of South Africa's finest botanical gardens, nestling on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. Its existence goes back to 1660, when a hedge of wild almond and brambles was planted to form the boundary of the entire colony.
- The Hydro
The Hydro Spa - also known as the High Rustenberg Health Hydro - is snuggled in the tranquility of Ida's Valley, just outside Stellenbosch, in the midst of woodlands, magical gardens and crisp mountain air. Opened in 1972 by Cleto Saporetti, recent investment has paid dividends and the spa won four major awards in 2005.
- National Musuem of Bardo
The Tunisian equivalent to the Louvre, the National Museum of Bardo (Musée Nationale du Bardo) contains an impressive collection of archaeological artefacts from several periods in the country's rich history.
- Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve
Opened in 1985 as Kiepersol, the privately owned Rhine & Lion Nature Reserve has, over two decades, rapidly grown from its initial small beginnings (two rhino and some antelope) to over 600 head from an impressive list of 25 species. In addition to a number of indigenous species that the Reserve has reintroduced to the area, including white lions and the endangered Cape wild dog, the Reserve also boasts more exotic alien species, such as the Bengal tiger.
