In addition to a number of indigenous species that the Reserve has reintroduced to the area, including white lions and the endangered Cape wild dog, the Reserve also boasts more exotic alien species, such as the Bengal tiger.
- The Hydro
The Hydro Spa - also known as the High Rustenberg Health Hydro - is snuggled in the tranquility of Ida's Valley, just outside Stellenbosch, in the midst of woodlands, magical gardens and crisp mountain air. Opened in 1972 by Cleto Saporetti, recent investment has paid dividends and the spa won four major awards in 2005.
- Lion Park
Epitomising everyone's idea of African wildlife, the king of the jungle - or more correctly the savannah - can be seen at close quarters in the specially-designed 208-hectare Lion Park, just north of Johannesburg.
- Wonder Cave
Close to the Sterkfontein Caves, which have revealed early hominid remains that have proved fundamental to our understanding of our species' ancestry, is the Wonder Cave.
