One Dream, One Vision...One Smash Hit!
It's a futuristic musical wherein an evil queen who despises rock music and her aide attempt to banish this music and anyone who dares listen to it. However, the aide not only harbours a secret love for the music he is supposed to persecute, he also has insane ambitions of his own.
Neatly coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the first release of its title song, We Will Rock You, the band's worldwide hit musical, is taking on a new group of champions to take it into its seventh year from opening on Monday October 1.
Ricardo Afonso will replace Peter Johansson and takes over the role of Galileo 'the chosen one' who takes on the mighty Global soft Corporation on his quest to re-ignite the power of live rock and roll. The show marks his West End debut.
The role of the lippy Scaramouch who eggs Galileo on to become a hero is taken by Sabrina Aloueche, in her first West End leading role.Julian Littman steps into the well-worn sandals of Pop. He is perfectly cast as the hippy librarian who knows the secrets of the "texts" and leads Galileo and the rebels to the Place of Living Rock where the Champions once played.
Having covered the role since last October when he joined the cast, Lain Gray moves up to flex his muscles as Badass Britney, the Bohemian who leads the rebels in their fight against the corporation.
Sure to please the show's legions of regular visitors, two of its most popular actors will continue in their roles: Mazz Murray as Killer Queen and Alex Bourne as Killer Queen's perfect foil and fellow villain, the silver-tongued, Armani-suited Khashoggi.
TV I'll Do Anything's Rachel Tucker gets ready to rock West End starring in Queen & Ben Elton's We Will Rock You.
In her role in the part of the sassy rebel Meat, Rachel takes on one of the show's biggest showstoppers, No-one But You, the song dedicated to rock's fallen heroes including Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Elvis Presley, and of course, Freddie Mercury.
Ian Carlyle is playing the role of Meat's tough-guy partner Britney and Garry Lake as the guardian of the texts Pop.

If you like Queen, then We Will Rock You was made for you! All their amazing songs are there, with a live band to turn the power on. The lead did a great job as Freddie and the story is very funny too. Genius!
