In October 2010 Cameron Mackintosh's legendary production of Boublil and Schonberg's Les Misérables celebrated its 25th Anniversary in London and is now the world's longest running musical.
This international award-winning musical sweeps its audience through an epic tale of passion and destruction, against the backdrop of a nation in the grip of revolution. Seen by more than 60 million people worldwide in 42 countries and in 21 languages, this spectacular adaptation of Victor Hugo's masterpiece continues to thrill audiences night after night. Now starring Ramin Karimloo as Jean Valjean, joining an incredible cast including Hadley Fraser, Caroline Sheen, Alexia Khadime, Craig Mather, Cameron Blakely, Katy Secombe, Liam Tamne and Lisa-Anne Wood.
Ramin Karimloo will star as Jean Valjean until Saturday March 3, 2012. He will not perform on Monday or Thursday evenings.
The move of Les Miserables to the Queen's is as remarkable as Nasa's Mars landing. Rest assured its quality remains intact. The principal cast is further proof of the depth of our theatre's talent. A gripping story. As usual the show affected me with a sense of wonder.
The Times - April 2004
The production still feels amazingly fresh and full-blooded. It would require a cold heart indeed to remain in your seat during the rapturous standing ovation.
The Telegraph - April 2004
As a Les Miserables virgin it is great to see what people feel so passionately about. A fantastic show.
