November 7
Bleech (live)
Kicking off proceedings we have special guests Bleech playing live on the 7. The London three piece, consisting of sisters Jen and Katherine along with school friend Matt on drums are the first band to play a monthly residency at Kokos Club NME and were pleased to welcome them here.
Clash magazine described them as Londons Best Kept Secret, NME as an energetic rummaging through Lush, Sleeper and Elastica, the Sun as engaging and the Fly love them too: This is the sound of Ash waking up and realising theyre teenagers again. Its the noise of Suede being catapulted against a wall. In modern terms its like Cage The Elephant getting together with Dinosaur Pile-Up and writing a punk song the size of an eighty-stone Super grass. So simple. So brilliant.'
The band, managed by Andy Ross (ex-Food Records) have also been shown love on the airwaves from Steve Lamacq, Lauren Laverne, Stephen Merchant and John Kennedy.
