Gassan Diamonds is an authentic diamonds factory located in the center of Amsterdam in a splendid former steam-driven diamond-cutting factory that dates back to 1879. At Gassan Diamonds the goldsmiths’ craft is still being practised in the company’s own forge. A permanent exhibition presents the history of the 400-year-old Amsterdam diamond trade and of the family-run Gassan Diamonds.
The best way to really get to know the secret behind the stones is to take a free one-hour diamond tour. After this tour you will feel like a genuine diamond expert! You will know how diamonds are formed and mined. The process of turning rough diamonds into dazzling brilliants will all be revealed. How to determine the value and quality of diamonds will be explained to you clearly with the help of loose diamonds that you can see from up close. After this fascinating diamond tour you will truly understand the saying ‘Diamonds are forever...’.

Participation
1.1. Entry in this competition implies acceptance of the following rules.
1.2. This competition is open to all residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years and over except employees of Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions (NBTC), Gassan Diamonds and Lastminute.com and their agencies, families and friends and persons connected in any way with the organisation & promotion of this competition. Residents of other countries are excluded from entry.
1.3. Last entries must be received by 31 December 2008. No entries will be accepted after this time.
Entries
2.1 A total of 12 prizes will given away. One prize consists out of one Gassan 121 diamond. Every four weeks one prize winner will be selected from all received entries. The first winner is selected four weeks after the first Lastminute.com e-newsletter announcing the prize draw has been sent.
2.2. Entries are limited to one entry per four weeks and once a prize has been won, the entry in question is excluded from the competition for the remaining competition period.
2.3. Incorrectly completed entries will be disqualified.
2.4. NBTC does not accept responsibility for non-receipt or loss of entries.
2.5. All entries become the absolute property of NBTC.
2.6. Entrants agree that their name and entry is published by NBTC on www.holland.com by Gassan Diamonds www.gassandiamonds.com and Lastminute.com www.lastminute.com and the entrant may be asked to take part in post-competition publicity.
2.7. No purchase necessary.
The draw
3.1. No correspondence will be entered into, apart from point 3.2. below.
3.2. Prize winners will be notified by NBTC by telephone/e-mail/post within 1 week of winning the prize (final prize-draw ends 31 December 2008). Names available upon request.
3.3. NBTC reserves the right to amend these prize draw rules at any time, without prior notification.
3.4. The winners will be drawn at random.
Prizes
4.1. Prizes are: 12 x Gassan 121 Diamonds. Each Gassan 121 Diamond is valued at approximately £1.000. No cash alternatives will be offered in whole or in part for any prizes offered.
4.2. NBTC reserves the right to change the prize to a prize of equal value, should circumstances require this.
General
5.1. Personal details will not be passed onto third parties or other organisations without prior permission of the entrants, with the exception of cases where this is essential for the progress of the competition entered into.
5.2. These Prize Draw Rules are governed by the laws of Holland.
