New York City
New York City is probably the greatest city on earth, a city where you’ll find a blend of cultures, history from every street corner and a diversity that is out of this world - ultimately nothing compares to NYC.
You think you may know New York City, but every street, neighborhoods and borough has an ever changing story to tell. Manhattan has many distinctive neighborhoods, but Midtown is the heart of Manhattan: Spanning from 34th Street to 57th Street from the Hudson River to the East River, it’s home to corporate headquarters, fine hotels and restaurants, and landmarks as varied as the United Nations, the New York Public Library and Madison Square Garden. Visitors flock to the Broadway shows in Theater District and nearby Times Square, as well as to Bryant Park.
Brooklyn, the city’s most populous borough lies just across the Brooklyn Bridge. It's divided into a number of well-defined neighborhoods, including DUMBO, Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Park Slope, Clinton Hill, Fort Greene and Williamsburg, among others.
The Bronx is at the northernmost tip of the city and is the only borough attached to the state of New York. The Bronx also has more parkland than any of the other boroughs, a renowned botanical garden, a world-renowned zoo, famous Italian restaurants on Arthur Avenue, beaches and even an island reminiscent of a New England fishing village.
Queens, across the East River from Midtown Manhattan, has become a top cultural destination. In Long Island City, you'll find P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, housed in a former elementary school. Socrates Sculpture Park is an open-air park with free exhibits of large sculpture with the Manhattan skyline as its backdrop.
While visitors to Staten Island will find an array of unexpected attractions, including Historic Richmond Town (a Colonial Williamsburg-like living history restoration complete with colonial buildings), a general store and America's oldest elementary school.
