  • New York
    New York
If you want to catch a show, head to the South St. Seaport location of TKTS. It’s usually a lot less busy than the Times Square one, and you can buy tickets for matinees the day before.

Buy a 7 day unlimited ride Metro Card so you don't spend $2 on MetroCards each time you hop on the subway.

NYC has a great nightlife scene. Head down to the Meatpacking District or Lower East Side for some of the cities trendiest bars and clubs.

Definitely head to Greenwich Village. Enjoy a lazy wander through the streets, browsing the shops, finish off your morning with a slice of cake at Magnolia Bakery or stop by the Greenwich Hotel for brunch. You may even spot Robert de Niro at the bar having a coffee!

Rent a bike and cycle through Central Park. It’s closed to car traffic on weekends.

If you’re planning a splurge at Macys, visit their website and download their visitor saving pass voucher. You’ll get 10 percent off everything!

Take a water taxi to get around Manhattan. You’ll get to take in the amazing skyline views, and you won’t get stuck in traffic! Water Taxis pick up and drop off from 13 locations within the city.

There are some amazing museums and art galleries in New York. Try something a little different and head to the New York Police Department museum or the famous MOMA - Metropolitan Museum of Art. NYC Library is also worth a visit as it houses many first editions.

Virgin Atlantic fly into both Newark and JFK airports in NYC. Between both airports, we have 5 flights daily and its one of our shortest flights -normally around 6.5 hours! It’s perfect for a weekend away shopping, a cultural museum hopping weekend, or something different for your stag or hen party - Sex and the City style!

  • Dubai
    Dubai
Check out The World! It’s a man-made archipelago of 300 islands constructed in the rough shape of a map of the Earth, located 4 kilometres off the coast of Dubai.

Dubai boasts some amazing golf courses, and when you’re flying with Virgin Atlantic, you can take one piece of sports equipment with you free of charge. There are some T&C's but as long as your equipment weighs less than 32kg you are laughing at the way to the course!

You must head to 360 bar at the Jumeriah Beach at sunset. Take a golf buggy to the bar and watch the sun set in the most amazing surroundings.

Saturday is Dubai's Sunday! Most of the hotels have spectacular brunches that often include as much buffet food as you can eat and unlimited prosecco! You’ll find some of the best food Dubai has to offer at these buffets. Just remember to book your table.

Dubai has an array of large shopping malls with the largest housing over 1200 shops! The malls are open late most days of the week. However avoid visiting at rush hour as the roads get busy. When you’re travelling with Virgin Atlantic, you can take one piece of luggage free of charge in economy, two pieces in premium economy and three in Upper Class. What better excuse to shop till you drop!!

The tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa skyscraper, is the magnificent centerpiece of Downtown Dubai. It’s surrounded by a world of entertainment options too.

  • Orlando
Try alternating a hectic theme park day with a relaxing water park to save your energy. The new water park at Seaworld is excellent and not as busy as the Disney one.

For something a little different, Send the boys to the golf course and girls hit the shops!! Orlando has some great outlet shopping malls and some of the best golf courses in the world! Luckily Virgin Atlantic’s luggage allowance is one piece of luggage free of charge in economy, two pieces in premium economy and three in Upper Class, plus you can take one piece of sports equipment travels free of charge. There are some T&C's but as long as your equipment weighs less than 32kg, you’ll be laughing all the way to the golf course.

Planning ahead is the key to having a great time at the theme parks. Decide what rides you want to go on, and then head to those rides early. If they’re already busy, get a fast pass and go to the next ride. Come back at your allotted time and you can walk straight to the front of the queue.

Do the reverse. If most people are going clockwise, go anti clockwise. Swim against the tide, because that means all the rides that most people will be finishing their day on will be the one's you start off with, and they’ll be much quieter.

Virgin Atlantic offer check in at DisneyWorld Resort, so you can complete all the formalities, leave your bags, and then go and enjoy a full day of fun before you head to the airport.

There’s more to Orlando than theme parks, so do something different like an airboat ride through deep swamps surrounded by alligators, go deep see diving, or see Orlando from the sky in a helicopter tour.

Orlando is a huge place, so don’t get too upset if you don’t get to everything you want to do on your first trip. It’s a good excuse to come back again. And you will!

  • Las Vegas
If it’s your first time gambling, try it out in the wee small hours of the morning when it’s quieter. While sensible people are sleeping, you can be awake getting to grips with how to play roulette.

After a good night’s sleep, or if you’ve been up all night, head to one of the hotels on the strip for a buffet breakfast. They’re incredible, indulgent, and will leave you full for the rest of the day!

Ever since Elvis and Frank Sinatra took to the stage, Vegas and shows have gone hand in hand. Where else can you catch Celine Dion, Elton John and Bette Midler playing in your hotel? Our favourite Vegas shows are the Cirque De Soleil extravaganza’s, many that you won’t catch anywhere else. Most hotels have their own cirque experience.

There’s lots more to Vegas than the Strip, so even though it’s tempting to spend all your time visiting the mega hotels, take a trip off the beaten track. The Nuclear Energy museum is a fascinating visit, highlighting all the major nuclear testing that went on in the Nevada Desert since the 60’s, and it includes a Nuclear explosion simulator, so you can feel what it was really like to be in the middle of it all.

Virgin Atlantic offers check in kiosks at a selection of Vegas hotels. Their fabulous new off airport check in kiosks are the fastest and easy way to check in, and it means you can enjoy more of the strip before heading to the airport.

In Vegas you’ll find one of the best selection of shops the US has to offer and all on the Vegas strip! When you’re travelling with Virgin Atlantic, you can take one piece of luggage free of charge in economy, two pieces in premium economy and three in Upper Class.

For a game of golf with a view like no other, check out the golf courses in the Vegas Mountains. When you’re travelling Virgin Atlantic, one piece of sports equipment travels free of charge. Terms and conditions apply.
