Discover the mystery of an historic house and garden, or the fascination of a castle or archaeological remains on your day out for two at a National Trust property. Top it off with a delicious cream tea for two and remember your day with a commemorative book.
The National Trust is a charity founded in 1895 by three Victorian philanthropists - Miss Octavia Hill, Sir Robert Hunter and Canon Hardwicke Rawnsley. Concerned about the impact of uncontrolled development and industrialisation, they set up the Trust to act as a guardian for the nation in the acquisition and protection of threatened coastline, countryside and buildings.
It now has 3.4 million members and 43,000 volunteers. More than 12 million people visit its 'pay for entry' properties, while an estimated 50 million visit its open air properties.
The National Trust offers special places to interest and inspire you, memorable times with family and friends and hassle-free days of discovery and fun. Now with this day out for two which can be used at a choice of over 300 venues throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland, you can experience it for yourself.
