Ayurveda is an ancient system of healing that originated over 5000 years ago in India. Ayurveda makes use of a variety of remedies including massage therapy using natural and organic plant based oils, detoxification techniques, herbal and mineral remedies, yoga and meditation.

What happens on the day?
This ancient Indian therapy targets chronic tension in the back, neck and shoulders, using a variety of massage techniques. Herb infused oils are slowly warmed and gently massaged into the skin, detoxifying, strengthening and revitalising the body. This treatment uses oils specifically suited to your skin type, which will be determined prior to your treatment.
Your spa experience entitles you to a personalised consultation with a highly qualified Ayurvedic Practitioner who will provide an analysis of your health and determine your Dosha (constitution)
This will be followed by your Ayurvedic spa experience
Only organic oils and herbs are used in all the treatments, which are free from chemicals and preservatives. All herbal pastes and facial packs used in the treatments are made in-house. At Shymala Ayurveda, every effort is made to ensure that all the clients gain maximum benefit from their treatments. Help is provided to you in your journey towards complete health and happiness
Your treatment is followed by an aroma steam and sauna treatment
Stay as long as you need to in our relaxation room where you will be provided with Ayurvedic refreshments

You will receive a full information pack and a gift voucher valid for 12 months from the supplier by post. The supplier’s contact details will be included in your order confirmation e-mail
To book a date for the experience, simply follow the booking instructions detailed in the information pack or on the gift voucher
It is recommended that you book a date at least four weeks in advance. All bookings are subject to availability
