What happens on the day?
Your trial lesson begins with a pre-flight briefing from the instructor covering the route followed by how to read the cockpit instruments and handle the controls.
You will then spend time in the aircraft during which your instructor will demonstrate the basics of flying and take to the skies followed by an opportunity - if you are ready - of a real hands-on flying experience with you at the controls.
After landing your instructor will answer any flying-related questions and you may also inquire about the procedure to attain a Private Pilots Licence.

Please allow one hour to one and a half hours for the whole experience. Actual flying time is 20 to 30 minutes for the Introductory lesson and 45 to 60 minutes for the Extended lesson
You will receive an information pack and an open-dated voucher valid for nine months from the date of issue. You must book and take your experience before the expiry date
It is recommended that you book a date at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and it is advised that you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. All bookings are subject to availability
Essential information
All equipments will be provided by the supplier
Please wear comfortable clothing and suitable footwear, as you will need to operate the rudder pedals. A tracksuit is ideal with a pair of sturdy training shoes
All instructors are CAA approved and have been professionally trained
Spectators are welcome to view from the ground but views may be limited as you will fly several miles away from the airfield
Disabled access is available at most airfields
The weather is unlikely to affect this type of aircraft. However, if your experience cannot take place due to adverse weather then an alternative date will be offered to you
Public Liability Insurance is included, along with Personal Accident Insurance of up to £50,000 and Cancellation Insurance of up to £500, for the voucher holder. Details will be enclosed within your gift pack
