What happens on the day?
After a safety briefing from your pilot the excitement begins with the inflation of the balloon envelope, which is often almost seven stories high. Climb aboard and as you take off the feeling will be one of pure elation. The direction of the flight will be dictated by the wind. Your view of the countryside will be uninterrupted in all directions as the scenery unfolds below. Once the balloon is packed away its time to celebrate in the traditional balloonist's manner, with a glass of champagne.

This is a single gift experience voucher for one person
Balloon flights are scheduled on both weekdays and weekends between March through to October each year, however this may vary slightly depending on the launch site
The options and locations available to you are:
Weekday morning flight - £149
Unrestricted flight - weekdays and weekends - £185
The flight itself lasts approximately one hour, however, you should allow approximately four hours for the whole experience
Once booked you will receive a full information pack and a voucher valid for nine months. You must contact the supplier to activate your voucher before the expiry date
To arrange your experience simply phone the number provided in the pack
It is recommended that you book a date at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise that you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. All bookings are subject to availability
Essential information
Once you contact the supplier, they will request that you send your lastminute.com voucher to them to activate it
It is recommended that you wear normal out-door clothing and footwear appropriate for the time of year. A hat or cap may be useful to protect your head from the heat of the burners
All pilots are fully qualified
Ballooning requires good stable weather, light winds and good visibility. For this reason most flights are scheduled for just after dawn or just before dusk - although take off time will vary depending on the time of year. In the event that your flight is cancelled due to bad weather, the balloon operator will make alternative arrangements with you for another date
Kindly note that it is the pilots decision on all aspects of the flight
Once you have activated your voucher you must attempt to take the flight at least eight times within the same season. If you do not, an extension fee will be payable to the balloon operator
Spectators are welcome and may help to inflate the balloon before wishing you 'bon voyage'
Certain disabilities can be catered for. Please call the supplier for specific details
Public Liability Insurance is included, along with Personal Accident Insurance of up to £50,000 and Cancellation Insurance of up to £500, for the voucher holder. Details will be enclosed within your gift pack
Restrictions
All passengers must be over eight years old and those under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. There is no upper age limits but passengers must be agile enough to climb in and out of the basket which is 1.1m high and to stand for around an hour
All passengers should be at least four feet six inches in height to see over the edge of the basket
Maximum weight is 18 stones (114 kg)
This experience is not suitable for pregnant women
