The lesson begins with a thorough briefing on all aspects of microlight flying from your instructor. You will then take to the air for this fantastic experience. You can either sit back and enjoy the ride or you may be able to take the controls for a more ‘hands-on’ experience depending on the location you choose and the weather conditions on the day.

Experience details

• This is a single gift experience voucher for one person
• Locations: Cheshire, Hampshire, Kent, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire
• Most centres fly throughout the year - both midweek and weekends
• Though your flight will last approximately 20 to 25 minutes, please allow approximately one hour for the whole experience
• Once booked you will receive a full colour information pack and a voucher valid for nine months. You must book and take your experience before the voucher expiry date
• To arrange your experience simply phone the number provided in the pack
• It is recommended that you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise that you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. All bookings are subject to availability

Essential information

• It is advisable to wear clothing suitable for the time of year. Winter can be an excellent season for flying on those clear, crisp sunny days
• Spectators are welcome
• All instructors are fully qualified
• Please telephone the centre on the morning of your flight to check on the weather conditions. If the weather prevents you from flying on the day of your experience, an alternative time will be made available
• Please be aware that your flight can take place in either an open cockpit or closed cockpit (type of aircraft is subject to availability and may vary depending on location). Please check this with the supplier at the time of booking
• Public Liability Insurance is included, along with Personal Accident Insurance of up to £50,000 and Cancellation Insurance of up to £500, for the voucher holder. Details will be enclosed within your gift pack

Restrictions

• Minimum age is 14 years. Written parental consent required for 14 - 17 year olds
• Maximum weight limit is 96 kg/15 stone
• Not suitable for those who suffer from epilepsy, fits or blackouts
