What happens on the day?
No experience is necessary for this fun filled activity but a sense of adventure is a must. Following instruction from one of the expert guides, its straight into the adrenalin action of your first wet and wild run down the course. Depending on the location you choose, you may tackle challenges such as the Cheesblock, the Looping Pool, the Muncher or the Washing Machine in these fantastic rafts, this is an experience you wont forget in a hurry.
White water rafting is a real adventure and the custom built courses in Nottingham or Northampton are as challenging as the natural white water in Scotland or Wales and whichever you choose youre bound to face steep drops, tight turns and masses of white water. You will be provided with helmets, buoyancy aid, paddles and all safety equipment you will need to get out on the water.

This is a single gift experience voucher for one person
The experience takes place in Northampton, Nottingham, North Wales or Perthshire, Scotland
Courses run on selected days from March to November in Nottingham and North Wales, on selected weekends from March to November in Northampton and all year round in Scotland. All bookings are subject to availability and suitable water and weather conditions
Each session will last for around two hours
You will need to wear a swimming costume and suitable closed toed footwear such as trainers you don't mind getting wet or wetsuit boots. Thermals or a sweatshirt are also recommended for after your experience and please bring a towel. It is compulsory to wear a wetsuit, at some locations these may need to be hired on the day at an extra charge. Please check at the time of booking
Once booked you will receive an information pack and a voucher valid for nine months from the date of issue. To arrange your experience, simply phone the number provided in the pack. You must have booked and taken your experience by the expiry date shown
It is recommended that you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and we advise you book early to avoid disappointment. All bookings are subject to availability
Please arrive 30 minutes before your start time
Essential information
Spectators are welcome and there is full disabled access to all areas
There are full changing room and shower facilities and a cafe on site where you can purchase refreshments
If the experience is cancelled due to unsuitable weather and/or water conditions you will be able to rebook your date
Public Liability Insurance is included, along with Personal Accident Insurance of up to £50,000 and Cancellation Insurance of up to £500, for the voucher holder. Details will be enclosed within your gift pack
Restrictions
Minimum age is 14 years at Nottingham, Northampton and Scotland and 12 years at North Wales. Kindly note that under 18's will require a parental consent form to be signed by their parent or guardian
There is no maximum age restriction but rafters must understand that this kind of activity is very demanding and vigorous
Maximum weight is 15 stone at Nottingham, North Wales and Perthshire and 16 stone at Northampton
You must be able to swim and be confident in the water
Minor cuts and abrasions need to be covered with a waterproof plaster
This experience is not suitable if you are pregnant, under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or deemed not physically fit to take part in physically demanding activities such as rafting. Each participant will be required to sign a declaration after the safety briefing to say that they understand the risks involved in the activity before taking part
Participants must either remove glasses or wear a retainer around their head, contact lenses should be removed for reasons of comfort
A basic level of fitness is required, it is not advisable to raft if you have suffered a recent bone breakage or sprain
