The London RIB voyage is an exhilarating and unique way to experience the Thames. The RIB (that's a rigid inflatable boat to you and me) skims across the surface at high speed, taking in the sights, sounds and stories the river has to offer aboard the purpose built RIB. For adrenaline junkies and speed freaks, it's the only way to see the Thames.

A history lesson in a speedboat... If only school was this much fun. This is certainly seat of your pants stuff. From the moment the skipper (I'll come to him later) lets the two huge engines rip you know you're in for one helluva ride. This is a Jekyll and Hyde trip that takes in the best of both worlds. The first half is a white-knuckle ride along the Thames, zigzagging in and out of traffic and catching some serious air. The second bit is a, slightly more sedate but no less enjoyable, tour. The guide/skipper, a parody of a sea captain, has some fascinating information about life on the Thames through the ages. Also, don't miss Bill Oddie's £10m mansion. The house won't take your breath away but the fact that Bill Oddie owns it will.
Two very big thumbs up!!
