The 99 Club is the Critics’ choice for comedy. It’s not hard to see why - they consistently deliver the best live comedians around, performing at a friendly and well-run club.

That’s why the 99 Club has repeatedly been Critic’s Choice in Timeout and garnered a total of over 100 Timeout recommended stars. And that’s why the club has repeatedly been Critic’s Pick or Choice or 'Must See' event in The Evening Standard, The Metro, The London Lite and even the Daily Mirror!

The club’s policy of always booking the finest acts on the "comedy circuit" has meant that the major names who’ve played there over the years range from the likes of Frank Skinner and Lee Mack to a younger generation of stars like Jimmy Carr and Russell Brand.

There is a different line-up of acts each week - but all the shows feature rising star Matt Green as resident host. A former President of the Cambridge Footlights Matt’s TV and film work includes appearances on Harry Hill’s TV Burp, Ricky Gervais’ BBC2 show Extras and even a role in the film Finding Neverland alongside Johnny Depp!

The Club does not admit stag nights. For bookings over 12 tickets the club will ask you to sign a "behaviour-bond" stating that they will not act in a rowdy way disruptive to the enjoyment of other patrons. A £20.00 refundable deposit will also be needed on the night

Event information

• Doors open at 19.00
  Performance begins at 20.30 and ends at 23.00

  • No stag nights or large single sex groups
  • No under 18s will be admitted to the show - photo ID with proof of age must be displayed by anyone who appears under age (at the discretion of the door staff)
  • No refunds or exchanges on tickets purchased
  • Groups of more than 12 people will be required to sign a 'behaviour bond' and to give a £40 re-fundable deposit, which will be returned at the end of the show providing the 'behaviour bond' is not broken
  • Anyone who is considered to be behaving in a disruptive manner will be asked to leave, in the event of this happening the ticket is non-refundable
